Well
Just looking through the top 10% vids, it would seem that I suck ^_^
However, by looking at top 10% by category, practically all my vids are in dance and some in romance top 10%...
Hmm, perhaps I don't suck?
[or is it that the categories I enjoy to edit to *oxymoron* are just not done by anybody?]
Does one get better by doing every type of video at once? I hope not. That's something I don't want to do or find myself doing...

Some people are bashing on Premiere's ability to make fx.
I think that's kinda, well, retarded...
"AFTER FX AFTER FX AFTER FX!"
Well, Euphoria was done by a program that's barely $50, maybe $40.
Yet some people can't figure it out...
Premiere as far as editing footage has pretty much near limitless ability to make good fx.
It's only missing the clicky things like "Shatter" and rendered sparkly backdrops...

You want fantastaic special fx? You're just gonna have to be like me [and FIGURE IT OUT by yourself]
AMV editing for me is always a learning experience and still is... Perhaps I should open up my own layering with fx guide in Premiere? [then again, that'll just dumb down my fx to nothing lol]
I guess I like it when people ask me what I did in AE when the fact of the matter is, AE is just not user friendly.
Though I do know how to use it, my mind's imagery and imagination can't be brought about in AE and my inspiration for it is kinda off. [yes, that's why MAD editing is so tough to me]

Yeah, I was talking to one of the other editors here at the org on my icq list and I figured out why I had trouble editing this past year...
I HATE AND LOATHE every second of it. The only reason any of my vids ever got done was because I knew in my mind and heart that it'd be something kick ass that not just me but lots of other people will like seeing.
As far as that is concerned, I sometimes wonder why people LIKE moving little blocks of footage here and there on some motherfucking timeline and say "this is fun" yay* And then burn out dozens of hours on it. Hell, if I could get one for free, I'd get a "Ghost - Editor" like AD has Kevin Caldwell lol...
Still, I'm getting back into it ever so slowly...

I don't think I'll ever enjoy the "editing" part of it and sometimes, I still feel like those fucking "random footage well timed to music" type n00bs...
I look at the one thing that's my saving grace...
My effects ;_;
My editing may suck, the quality of footage [since most being digisub] may suck, my music may suck [mostly being pop/dance] but if ANYTHING I got is worth holding a candle to and saying hey, shiny, it's my special fx sets... *whew*
