  • The final filler... 2002-07-12 10:31:13 Intro checked and as of now,
    I noted 15 "black bar" bugs in the Tapestry Illusion effect.

    I've got to keep track of this. So far, I'm deciding whether to kill the bugs using a 1%crop and then a 91%zoom, or just finish the video and THEN go get the bugs.

    Chances are good I'll get the bugs before anymore pop up.

    Oh well. Once I learned this, I dived headfirst into "finishing off" certain things in the video.

    The "Tapestry Illusion" Effect has a bug were on occasion, a "Black Bar" would appear on the left side of the monitor. :(

    Gotta fix that.

    Some vids have a "themed" effect. A trick unique to the video where either a: someone will copy it effectively thereby complimenting your technique and admitting it's really that good, or b: the video executed it so well that noone else can do it without being labelled a "lamer".

    Vids I've seen with neat fx that make them so damn unique:

    Odorikuruu: pretty much everything, but the "shinji walkman" I think sets it apart.

    Shameless Rock: The color changing seems "dancy" enough, but it's the "Kaleidoscope" that made my jaw drop from my skull...

    Soul of an Angel: Though the effect isn't difficult, nobody else ever tried/pulled it off before. "Still pic strobe" is the only thing I can call it. Well done ErMaC.

    Closer (vol. 1): the 2nd remake of this didn't have it, but the original "Closer" vid can be both deep and emotional, or meaningless and lustful, it all depends on your state of mind. I'm for the former. The "Breathing" effect was excellent, though at first I found it annoying, I soon learned it was a "part" of the video as a "mind-buffer" so to speak.

    My own excursions into the realm of "custom-fx" include:

    Full On - "mini-screen rain" I'm just lucky that the Vandread Movement Stage intro is so damn beautiful. I think it's one of the best "backdrops" one can use for a music video. I should know, I used it twice!

    Gimme the Beat - "Booty?" I'm not sure about this video. Everything done was mostly the 4-frame fade and Level adjustments. The mini-screen effect was more done in Full On.

    Dancing Stars - "Vertigo Strobe". I kind of nicked it from the "Soul of an Angel" Still-pic Strobe. Utilizing "character profile shots" and seeing them in their various expressions. Quite fun when watching. It looks even more fun when the "drum clap" hits and I get the stars start changing color...

    Moonlight Vengeance - "Tapestry Illusion". Not difficult to do, but unique in the sense that I see this effect in MADs but never for a video. I'm hoping to symbolize the song itself with it. It also makes for an interesting backdrop with which I can do wyld and crazy fx while keeping the "actual" vid up front. If you want to see "Moonlight Vengeance" without the "Tapestry Illusion", you can easily do so in Virtualdub by simply doing a "10% crop" on all sides of the video. ^_^

    Well, that's all, my future upcoming projects are kind of scattered right now and I hope to be able to start any one of them soon.

    I just HAVE TO FINISH MOONLIGHT VENGEANCE B4 FRIDAY!

    Grrr. I've got Warcraft 3 and my other games under lock and key. ( or at least my conscience does. )

    There's only filler. (instrumental parts of the song utilizing no lyrics.)

    I should finish ALL of it hopefully by tommorow night.

    If all goes well, Chojin will have it up by Friday!!!!!

    And so ends, the experience that is "Feel the Rhythm". The update to Full On - (Full Throttle) will be out sometime b4 end of the month. It's nothing much really. Smoothed out transitions, less gun fights, and most importantly, I'll use frameserver for this one. Full On was originally a recompressed 6000kbps divx file...

    Wow, you must REALLY think I'm weird.

    You're image of Kevin C. is something I will not argue about. He seems more of the supernatural type in my eyes though.

    The other images you've mentioned really crack me up, and the Dark Moon and Premonition Studios girls look quite adorable in your eyes I must say.
