Just got the "mini piece" for the new DDR Project mentioned by TommyRude. Yes, I can finally join in part of something "legendary..."
^_^
Can you guess what the track is?

Great, an "Arturo" sent me an email saying how great my Onegai Teacher video was and asks if I can help him find "subtitle-less" footage! First, it'd be nice if he gave me an opinion on why it's good and how I can improve any flaws. It's only fair since he likes it and I get better with each bit of constructive criticism...
Ok, now, I'm not mad at him really, since it's like a compliment, but it's pissing me off how many of these I get. This email was the 9th! THE 9TH email stating that I'm using RAW footage for my amvs!
Until I say otherwise, all I'm doing is using SUPER HIGH quality digisubs for my videos. [no dbz half-assed encodes mind you...]
Best examples: Fire of Man's Desire, Gimme the Beat...
Those two are by far my highest quality amvs. DVD Rips if I do say so myself.
^_^
but still, not only that, but those anime music videos are also the ones that ONLY GET ME EMAILS ASKING FOR RAWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
;_;
What's an amv editor who kills subs 100% of the time in his amvs to do?!
[sniffle...]
ok, I'm off to do some reviews I promised... later all...

what?

Actually DD, Moonlight Vengeance was set up to follow the lyrics in tandem. The fact that it cut every fourth beat hit was sheer coincidence...
^_^
NOT...
Uh, that's not "off rhythm" per se, since music is divided in 8th beat rhythm. Cutting every 4th gave my video a sense of "speed" in my book and I didn't want people to see a scene for far too long. The only time that happened in MV is when the lyrics stopped, hence the cuts slowed down too. Some old "trick" of mine I like to do...

RRRRRROOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

Just got through 3 tests! in the past 2 WEEKS! Then I hear that ANOTHER DDR project is coming?!
Aw hell. Just as I switched gears to creative drama mode and I STILL haven't gotten time to edit "Gimme the Beat 2!!!"
First thing's first. I can RUSH BURN GtB2 easily since it utilizes NO special fx aside from lip synch.

The complete 360 degree spin...

Ah, since I've decided to put Feel the Rhythm down as a complete series and let Digital Dojo's wonderous creativity continue it in "Felt the Rhythm", I've decided to let Absolutely Anime rest a bit whilst I continue to explore another side of the amv editing realm. Dance is fun and all but I've recieved many [actually, they're all from MJ... GRRR...] suggestions (deep down, I call them complaints ^_^) about a different type of editing style...
AND YES, THIS MEANS...
[drumroll]
ANOTHER SERIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 0_0
[oooh ooooh! what does this mean omni?!]
WELL, kind audience of the org, it means this...
I've begun construction [as in wrote down] a new group of plans for another four amv series. The COMPLETE polar opposite of Feel the Rhythm. So opposite in fact that I've decided to use completely different languages!!!! ^_^
"Gimme the Beat 2" however will have to be completed first...
What will this new series incorporate?
Omni Strata Series II: (Drama categories) "Serene Flow"
Video 1 title:
"Love Isn't Easy - Serene Flow"
anime: "Ai Yori Aoshi" (Bluer than Indigo)
song: "Superman" by 5 for Fighting
Video 2 title:
"Eyes of Kindness - Serene Flow"
anime: "Saishuu Heiki Kanojo" (She, the Ultimate Weapon)
song: "Eyes on Me" (Cantonese version) by Faye Wong
Video 3 title:
"Moonlight Illumina - Serene Flow" [yes that's a pun...]
anime: "Samurai Deeper Kyo"
song: "Tsuki no Itoku" (Can anyone translate this for me?) by Yuu Asakawa [btw, this song is the image song for Motoko from Love Hina sung by her seiyuu 0_0 Motoko is HOTT...]
Video 4 title:
"Together - Serene Flow"
anime: "Onegai Teacher"
song: "Daijobu" (Alright) by Aki Maeda [yes, it's from the "Boys Be" intro...]
Yes, whoa, this is a big journal entry...
Video 2 or 3 may switch anime depending on how I plan it out. This is going to be a VERY difficult series for me to finish by 2004 or so. It will utilize heavy effects. After seeing certain videos, I took note that specatacular special fx, when utilized properly, can augment drama videos as well. The thing I think that will make this so hard is lyric synching. 2 of the songs are in Japanese and one of them is in Chinese! So I'll have to jump into my creative juices directory in my brain and find a way to build an awesome story utilizing the footage I have available. Any suggestions from any of you reading this may help as well. ^_^
