I thought this was excellent because he is responding to the critique of OWS rather than just repeating the usual 99% mantra. And ofcourse he does it in his usual thought provoking way.
And maybe I should actually use this journal to something else than political purposes. Uhm.. I made some progress with my AMV? -

I've got a logic exam tomorrow, then work, but then I have a week off from the university. This means that I'll propably manage to get some editing done. I'm always having some sort of blocks when I enter a new phase in the song and I'm supposed to come up with a new way of editing it. It's not really like I couldn't figure it out but that I won't even wanna start experimenting. Uncool. But hopefully I'll get rid of this problem soon. It's good to force yourself to edit every once in a while..

Slowly recovering from the weekend..

Although I changed my major from social and public policy to sociology this year I still happen to be a member of the student organization of my previous major...and last weekend was all about enjoying the benefits. A lot of awesome stuff happens when over 20 students are stuck in a rented cabin / cottage / whatever-the-hell-you-call-it-in-English for a couple of days with ridiculous amounts of alcohol.
Ofcourse, all of this means that I haven't been making any progress whatsoever with my AMV. I have a little over 50% of it done, which is somewhat relieving but I still have a lot of work to do and it's just too depressing... I swear my next project will be a lot easier and edited in a standard fashion without obsessive beat syncing and a ridiculous amount of layers.
On the top of skipping editing, I'm also skipping studying. I've been trying to get myself to read this text on environmental sociology but I should have known that was a dead attempt from the very beginning. Besides my relationship with ecology is basically that of an enlightened egotist: yea, let's take take care of the nature so I can continue my urban life without feelings of guilt. One with nature? No way. The more alienated, the better.
PS. New albums by Angelspit and Collide? Goodness, this really was an excellent weekend. - I want to move on already! 2011-09-29 14:57:59 Just like the title of this entry says: I want to finish my AMV project already so I can move on to other projects! I swear I'll never edit projects, which have over 15 layers ever again! T_T A slow editing process is slow...
