I can't believe it...I'm sitting here writing credits and editing them into the video O_ox OMG..it's almost over!!!!!!! LIT already came by and looked at the near-polished product, and he says he thinks everything is as it should be. Now if only I could get Robert to get his butt over here and get his final say on it, it could be released in literally, a day or two. But he's not answering his phone >:P He needs to stop sleeping in and ansa da phun!
But then, I haven't slept at all.... O_ox -

Holy crap..... after 1 year and 3 months, the Inu Yasha/Nightwish video is 90% done O_ox Mostly now I just need to tighten up some of the syncs, and finish up threading in those siezure-inducing white flashes that practically dominate this video. But the music is so fast-paced, the footage alone can not keep up.
Mayhaps this will be up sometime within the week, if I can get both Robert and LIT together for a final review to tweak anything they think is off.

....Premiere just crashed. Good thing I DIDN'T save the last 10 minutes worth of work. Go me x2.

I sat down and opened up that Nightwish/Inu Yasha action video in Premiere and......I changed a scene I had already done to something else. Wow. That's hardly progress. It's the parts of the timeline where I don't have ANYTHING that I should be worrying about :P

Got Robert over here like I planned yesterday- got lots of progress done on the one Inu Yasha video. Pretty much we're just waiting for the one last Region 2 DVD for footage that we decided we can't live without. I ordered it early yesterday morning, so it should arrive by Saturday at the latest- and by then it'll be my days off again, so I can get with the ripping and editing.
Our last hang up is the intro and exit of the video. Well, not so much the exit. We've pretty much nailed what words we want to appear there. It's the opening paragraph to the video we're struggling with. Robert has mainly been working on it- but he claims everything he has come up with reads like some teenage angsty poetry. So I'm going to ask LIT to work on it with him- because I don't want this video to be delayed even more simply because we cannot write a simple paragraph to the open the video with. And we're still searching the computer for our intro music....do not ask me HOW one misplaces an MP3 and completely forgets what it is titled and everything...just been listening to everything we can find..."hmmmm...nope, that's not it...". Grrrr.
The action Inu Yasha video Robert and I reviewed together, and helped me pick out a couple of parts where the sync was a tad off. But otherwise, I've got to get my butt in gear and just go with the editing. The AMV itself is pretty much written- it's linear A B C kinda stuff...but I STRUGGLE with that kind of AMV editing, simply because it's all about timing and pacing, and "do I have room to fit this in now? How long should this segement be because now I've got to squish this footage in....and I've got to make sure all this footage gets in there before this part of the music right here, which is where the OTHER footage goes...." and blah blah blah.
I HATE doing these kinds of videos. It's the same problem I had with "Ever Dream". Though I have to admit- when they are finished, they are quite a bit of fun to watch, and "Ever Dream" has gotten nothing but good reviews. I just can't wait to get this current Nightwish/Inu Yasha video OVER WITH, so I can just sit back and enjoy it and then say in past tense, "Yeah, that was a tough bugger to put together."
Robert keeps saying that Chris ( our biggest fan ^_~x ) will wet his pants when he sees it- so I guess that should be enough drive to make me finish it within the next month or so ^_~x
Arrrghh.....here I go...opening Premiere....
