Stress Relief

OMG, the journal angst. Pretty soon someone will have to make an "AMV ORG Drama" website to catalogue it all, just like "LJ Drama".
Aside from that, a "stress relief AMV" is developing into irony. For months I have had this simplistic, very simple AMV about Kikyou that I've been working on and off on- it's not a main project, just one that I turn to when I run into pitfalls on our main projects, or lose inspiration, or can't figure out what to do for certain scenes, etc. etc. So, I turn to the simple AMV because...well, it's just so simple. It flows very nicely and easily- you can't really mess up an AMV like this. So over the past few months, as I've dabbled in it, it's on it's way to becoming a fully completed AMV.
Only now, I feel that "Big Project stuff" creeping in. This simple AMV? Both the opening and ending of the video have been hand-animated. As in, I took all the footage, edited it all frame by frame, created different layers and edited them all by hand, then imported them back into Premiere- simply because I was trying to get a lip sync done right, since elements in the background were moving, or other characters were leaning towards Kikyou as she is "singing". So yeah- hand-animated opening and closing., amounting to almost 2 minutes in hand-edited footage. Pretty simple, huh? Pretty stressless, huh?

Yes. Yes I did. What wonders kicking back with the bunny for awhile will do for your sanity. Did some long-overdue chores. Sat down and worked simultaneously on 2 different AMVs.

So I get a PM over at the forums, and it's about the video "We Belong ( Anyplace Anywhere, Anytime ) and the person asked me specifically for all the scenes in my video that I have written the German>English subtitles on WITHOUT subtitles. Not asking for a non-subtitled version of the video, mind you, but CLIPS. They wrote CLIPS in their little message.
So umm..yeah..you basicaly want raw footage from one of our videos? To do what with- plop into an AMV and call it your own?
Then the answer is a thousand times no. Get your own source footage. I'm not spending $50+ per Region 2 DVD so others can steal our source for free and all of our special effects and transitions.
It really burns me up that people steal large chunks of our videos in the first place- but I can't believe the audacity of someone to actually come right out and basically as for us to surrender our RAW footage.
You've got to be kidding me. -

Robert is not answering his phone.......AGAIN. I gave up on him and finally wrote the intro to the ghost AMV myself. NEH! I'm sure he'll eventually forgive me or something.
That last Region 2 DVD *should* arrive today, so that I can finish putting in the last of the footage into the ghost AMV, and then polish it up and tighten all the syncs and everything so that it can finally be finished and released. A little behind schedule- but released anyway. I should look at it this way- this one is being released behind schedule, but "Heirloom" was released ahead of schedule. So it balances out, no?
Made all the final "Master Copies" of "Heirloom" today, so I can finally move it's giant 18 GIG folder off the hard drive, and free up space for other projects. Got myself re-immersed in 2 others that were actually started about 4 months ago, but I lost inspiration and went slack on them for a long time. -

Have gotten a lot of good quick comments on "Heirloom". Now if only someone would be brave enough to be the first to leave an actual opinion ^_~X
In other news my beloved dog died- suddenly and horribly. She was 11 years old and still extremely healthy for her age- I guess it's something I'll wonder about and agonize over for some time. Either way it's been a huge emotional punch to my spirit. I skipped the last 2 days of work and I've barely been able to even get myself out of bed. I haven't been outside in 2 days.
This is really rough.
