It occurs to me that money has lost all meaning in the digital age. Now replacing this cold hard and ideal system of barter, we have the faggoty etheral concept of "credit" creeping up and replacing it. Rather than mugging you of your hard-earned and TANGIBLE salaries, dipshit grease-faced hackers can pick your pocket from virtually anywhere. This has even become trendy, as we see the vast majority of America is up to its nutsack in consumer debt, choosing to sign away their freedoms to the likes of Experian and Equifax.*
*(For those of you who don't know, there are three companies who control the negative side of the world's economy.)
However, I can't really bitch without offering an alternative. I propose instead that we switch from paying in vague, spacy "dollars" to paying "attention." The beauty of "attention" is that everyone is capable of producing it, yet few willingly engage in it to a productive degress. All the stupid people who normally pay attention to television and buy what they see will still pay "attention" to the television sponsors. The worthy members of this sad little farce called society will pay "attention" to getting themselves ahead in the world. And maybe deadbeat dads will finally pay "attention" to their children as child support. -
