Shout outs to all the meaning-seekers out there! Greets to all the armchair AMV philosophers! I'm so glad we have you guys to debate the deeper hidden meanings of audio/visual fanwork. You do such a fantastic job of getting to the bottom of this hobby, that what you do is ultimately more important than editing itself!

Really. What the fuck is wrong with you guys? It isn't enough to just make fancy shit? You want "meaning" too? Not that I hear it too often, but it's damned annoying What the fuck good is meaning in a video going to do for you? Not only is it condescending, it makes you look like the dumbest fucker in the world for seeking "MEANING" in an AMV of all places. What do you think we are, the Catholic Church? Find your salvation elsewhere, and quit bitching that AMVs aren't giving you the emotional support you need to live another day.
I seem to notice that people love to bitch most of all when it comes down to usage of FX. Most European AMV groups have acknowledged and embraced the widespread usage and even tasteful deployment of these visual concepts. But there's always Jean Paul Sartre Le AMV Dickehead to bash the shinies for detracting from "meaning."
I'll be the first to admit that most FX suck, as most people don't know how to use them well enough to even be fucking with them [i.e. QUIT USING DEFAULT SETTINGS, YOU FUCKTARDS]. But don't go bashing something when they obviously know what they're doing just because of your innate hatred of anything that doesn't make you shed a tear. If you're so fucking emotionally in-tune, why aren't your videos any better or more enjoyable?
You dipshit pseudo-intellectual posers can go wallow in the anal mucous you congealed out of. -
