  • You Never Know 2010-06-07 00:26:23 When you talk you don't really hear your voice like other people until it's recorded or something. Well I recorded my voice and you know something? I fucking hate my voice lol.

    Please, feel free to tell me how shitty it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqfnrPMyq_k
  • @ Code 2010-06-05 21:08:02 Get off my org. RTS suuuuuuuuuuuuuucks.
  • STOP BEING LAZY 2010-06-03 22:36:25 I dunno what's going on with me but lately I've entered a whole new level of lazing about:

    I still have yet to render my accepted track for AMV Hell 5.

    I have a beta for the Bleach MEP coming up and I haven't touched the project file in about a week.

    I was planning to join Code's Disney MEP but after listening to about 4 songs I gave up searching for one.

    Still have started NONE of the amv ideas I have for Youmacon 2010.

    Started a Jigoku Shojo amv about a month ago and haven't done anything to it since I first started it.

    Have yet to finish reading Ultimate Comics: Spider-man number 10.........

    ........and the list goes on. Some of it I can blame on being almost unable to move my left hand (something bit me and it's made it swell up quite a bit). I use my left hand to control the mouse while I'm on my computer, doing it with my right hand feels weird. Soon as it's better I'm gonna have to buckle down with this crap.
  • Debated whether to do this or not but I'm bored so let's do it. 2010-06-02 20:57:06 Couple weeks ago went to my first rock concert with headliner Taproot. Soon as the show was over I was going over a bunch of stuff in my head and found myself subconsciously rating a bunch of stuff. Now is the time to share those ratings, here's how it'll go (ratings of 1-5):

    Performance- Rating how the lights/ band members hype/ and personal enjoyment.

    Crowd Interaction/Participation- Rating how the bands were able to involve the crowd (hand clapping and such), how much they interacted with the crowd and how much they hyped the crowd.

    Overall- Self-explanatory.

    The bands that played (in order) were: Black Aces (local band), Destrophy, Ice Nine Kills, An American Revolution, and Taproot.

    --------------------------------------------------

    Black Aces:

    Performance- They weren't very enthusiastic and didn't really use the lights. The singer moved around a bit but they were pretty stiff.

    Rating= 2

    Crowd Interaction/Participation- Though they were local the crowd actually enjoyed them a bit. However, since the crowd didn't know the songs they couldn't really get hyped. This would be slightly higher a rating but there was NO fan interaction so, yeah.

    Rating= 1.5

    Overall- The songs were actually pretty good but the crowd wasn't very into them.

    Rating= 2

    -----------------------------------------------------------------

    Destrophy:

    Performance- Lighting was good, band members interacted with each other and hopped around and seemed to have fun.

    Rating= 4

    Crowd Interaction/Participation- Got a good number of the crowd to clap and dance. Actually had some fans in the crowd that were singing along with the songs. Unfortunately there was very little fan interaction. The singer put and arm out to the crowd and that was about it.

    Rating= 3

    Overall- I was on the fence about this band: I had heard some songs and thought they were ok. This performance did not change my mind. Crowd was into it about but not as much as you'd think considering the performance.

    Rating= 3.5

    ----------------------------------------------------

    Ice Nine Kills:

    Performance- Lot of energy, great use of green lighting, band seemed to have a good time.

    Rating= 4.5

    Crowd Interaction/Participation- Second best of the night: The singer actually jumped out into the crowd while they were dancing. First band that created a Mosh Pit though it was only like 3 dudes.

    Rating= 4.5

    Overall- Another band I was on the fence about. Their performance convinced me to buy their album (all the bands were selling merchandise). Songs were great and the crowd was really hyped.

    Rating= 4.5

    ------------------------------------------------------

    An American Revolution:

    Performance- See Destrophy.

    Rating= 4

    Crowd Interaction/Participation- Though the band was hyped the crowd was not. They may have been at a disadvantage since Taproot was next up. The lack of fan enthusiasm seemed to affect the band and there was no fan interaction.

    Rating= 2

    Overall= I did not like this band: The songs, the constant cocktease of Taproot being next. I mean, the singer kept bringing up Taproot: "You ready for Taproot?", "Give it up for Taproot", " Taproot is up next". Keep in mind that every time he said this the band went into a new song so I, and the crowd, were a bit restless.

    Rating= 3

    -----------------------------------------

    Taproot:

    Performance- Blew me away. The lighting was excellent, the band was hyped, they were having so much damn fun. The singer killed the set: An example is during the song "Smile" he put his index fingers in his mouth and forced himself to smile during the hook.

    Rating= 5

    Crowd Interaction/Participation- Again, fantastic: A Mosh Pit formed and the singer threw himself into it; The singer took a camera from a fan and took a video of the crowd; it was someone birthday and he let them sing part of a hook.

    Rating= 5

    Overall- I'm biased as this is my favorite band and obviously, since they were the headliner, hyped the crowd beyond belief.

    Overall, not a bad way to spend a birthday. I had a great time, heard some new bands and got some merchandise.
