More (Good) Rap Vids.

With the wide array of rap/hip-hop songs I'm surprised we're not seeing more good ones from editors. I know alot stay away since they have a hatred for rap (can't spell crap without rap) due to the absolute terrible mainstream songs that are constantly played on the radio and such. To think that the entire genre of rap is terrible due to some songs you hear on the radio is, sorry to say, stupid and to think that you can't make certain vids with rap is flawed.
"You can't make a story from a rap song".
Let's stop that right now: You can make a story out of any type of song if you just try. Let's look at the song "Dreams" by J.Cole: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYs5QkAbEUQ .
I'm going to give you a quick story from this song using Higurashi- Imagine Keiichi as J.Cole and Rena as the woman he has a crush on:
First Verse- Keiichi admires Rena from afar while having delusions of being with her.
Second Verse- Keiichi starts stalking her and getting desperate to have her acknowledge him.
Third Verse- Keiichi sees her and is unable to stop himself from talking to her. During this conversation he learns that she already has a boyfriend and this pushes him over the edge.
Fourth Verse- Keiichi kills her boyfriend and comforts her, eventually causing her to fall in love with him.
Use the hooks to show Keiichi slowly going insane with the thoughts of being with her.
A quick little story I came up with while writing this........see how easy that is when you have actual good songs?

Wow, really? Em is the only one that has any type of emotional content in his songs huh? How about DMX's "I Miss You" where he's speaking to his dead Grandmother and reminisces about how she raised him and about the things going on with their family now. Not good enough? Try Asher Roth's "His Dream" where he tells the story of an old man as he copes with the reality that he can't follow his own dreams and abandons them to provide for his family. The list goes on.

First, stop listening to the radio. Seriously.............. Second, searching almost any forum that has a music section will turn up people like Saigon, Papoose, Jay Electronica and many other artists that have real content in their songs. If you're not just some person that's gonna hate rap regardless then you need to do a bit of searching to find great songs/artists.........It's not just gonna fall in your lap. - @ Taite 2010-08-17 21:23:24 Sorry, someone had to do it. My Pockets Weep For Next Year.

I had already decided that I was gonna buy my PS3 next year but now I'm not so sure.........There's just too many games, particularly fighters, coming out that I might have to wait till late next year:
Street Fighter x Tekken/ Tekken x Street Fighter
So there's gonna be two versions of this game: One made by Capcom and one by Namco. Even though these two games don't come out til 2012 depending on whether I want both versions or just the Capcom version it may become a problem.
Marvel vs. Capcom 3
Yea, nothing to be said. First day purchase.
Dead Space 2
I liked the first one, not as much as I thought I would be but still fun. Seeing the previews of the second one I'm leaning towards an early purchase of this.
Batman: Arkham City
Was Pleasantly surprised by the first game, definite early purchase.
Mortal Kombat 9
Oooooohhhhh Goooooooooood Yeeeeeeeesssss.
And possibly CoD: MW3, Silent Hill 8, Crysis 2 and Portal 2 (though they all don't really have a release date)..............................
