No wonder some vids in the announcement get threads get zero replies and others get 80989080980000 replies.
Yeah, one thing is the editors are well known and yeah-yeah makes sense.
But I looked, almost like 90% of every video that gets noticed is an avi format, while the ones that don't get any are wmv.
I just...hate that way of thinking. First off, Avis aren't that great, yeah so they do have a LITTLE better picture, wow, you can still have good quality in other formats. Hell I saw one in wmv format that was better than most avis. I think it was Jade's Lust video if I recall.
Or maybe it's the fact they used WMM. Woo...the editor does the editing, not the program, and you can make a good video using something basic if you know what you're doing. Do we really need 9000000000000000000000 effects? Not really. Some look good, but I don't like vids where the effects are just eye-candy, try putting substance in the vid rather than just showing off.
Or maybe it's because they think that EVERYONE who uses WMM is a N00b. Nope. Some of my favorite editors have used WMM for years, and they at least get noticed. Who knows how long that took though.
Or maybe it's all just an amazing coincidence.... Yeah right.
Or MAYBE it's the fact that all the well-known editors just put their vids in avi format. Could be, only I looked through a lot, there are some editors who posted their vids who aren't well known and they still got posts in their topic. I think it's the format that people look for.
I bet if I converted the vid I'm currently working on after I'm done into an avi it would get replies in the topics, even though the quality will be basically the same, same idea. I should try it. Too bad I can't test the wmv one then the avi one.
