I got the coolest idea for a video last night.
I stayed up last night until 1 watching Kurosawa's Seven Samurai. One of my favorite animes: Samurai 7 is based upon that movie. They're both great.
This wasn't the first time I had seen it, but this time I started to make connections with the anime and the movie and thinking how awesome it would be to see a collaboration of the two together, playing off each other, etc.
I still haven't found a song (which I need to do first) and then either see if I can find the movie somewhere that doesn't have a million subtitles (I'd have to crop half the screen like that). I don't think if even on the DVD the subtitles can be turned off. Maybe, I hope they can....that's probably the only way I'll find it.
What's even more lame is the the anime is in 16:9 aspect ratio while the movie is 4:3. I swear, 16:9 looks cool, but it's a serious pain the ass to try and edit with. Especially combining two unlike.
Chances are, I'll have to crop a lot of from the subbed movie enough to make it also 16:9 :-!
I have to finish working on this Wolf's Rain video first though. I hate trying to do two videos at once.
