Ok, I'm going to say something that most people already know.
NEVER buy any electronics from the dollar store.
I bought a watch (thinking it was a good idea) on Sunday, and set it. I haven't touched the time...and today it's over 25 minutes off. It loses that much time in less than a week? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of HAVING a watch in the first place? You always have to set it, and in order to do that you'd need a reliable watch. So yeah, I guess they didn't sell it for a dollar for nothing...
Though, not everything cheap is crappy.
I bought this Jurassic Park watch from Burger King when I was 8 and used that as my watch until after 12th grade. Yeah, for some reason the battery lasted 10 years...it probably still works too....but I lost it in my room one night and haven't seen it since.
That was a pretty good watch, though it's outside wasn't looking too good the last time I saw it though. :p -

So I'm trying to see if I can find any downloadable Ushio and Tora episodes, because I would like to see them.
Everything I find is in .mkv format. I don't see why that format is so great.
It just makes it twice as big and it has the same quality as any xvid version.
Two episodes I had of a series awhile ago where mostly in avi then the last two were mkv and at least 100 megs more.
Mkv seems pretty pointless to me. -

I went to Hastings over the weekend. In front of the store they had a whole bunch of VHS that you could just take. So I looked around and I found two anime tapes (Japanese sub VHS...weird) so I decided to check those out.
The first one was called something like Rhea Gall Force. It was ok, but I'm not really too interested on fighting wars with armies in a post-apocalyptic future anime, which is basically what it is.
I'll probably give this one to a friend or something, he'd like it.
The other was called Ushio and Tora. When I first watched it I was like "Damn, this reminds me a lot of YYH" Even the main character, Ushio, was voiced by Sasaki Nozomu...who also voices Yusuke.
But after watching the first episode, I really enjoyed it. Pretty entertaining and I tend to like anime that like. I looked it up and found the anime was only 10 episodes though, and the manga goes into a lot more...figures. I'd never be able to find the manga...it's probably not even in english...
I don't even have all the episodes. The VHS only has 2. Oh well :p -

Of course....she left out Katsuhiro....which doesn't really make it 7....and kinda ruins it. >_>
