I've been watching Death Note on Adult Swim. But now, especially since I have also been reading the manga at an equal pace with it, I've noticed how the anime is severely lacking especially the past few episodes. They cut out critical information, leaving very important info to be "implied". That's fine in some stories, but with Death Note, leaving plot points to be implied isn't good. If they should have been implied, they would have been implied in the manga. They also cut out a few good parts early on when they were following it closer.
I still don't know why they had to rush the 2nd half. They couldn't have picked up maybe 5 or 6 more episodes? That's all it really would have taken, if that much. If the manga is already done when you start the anime, and unless you decided to make it completely different, I don't see any reason why you need to cut anything out. If anything you should add more.

Anyone else every notice that when you really really want something it ONLY happens when you completely give up all hope? It's funny, every time, I swear I want something so bad I could down the days for what seems like an eternity. And as soon as I admit to myself "Well I guess it's not happening" It does! Even multiple times I force it "Oh yeah I give up" but it doesn't work, but eventually I really do give up, and then guess what? Yes, it happens.
Crazy. Does that happen to anyone else or am I the only one? I can't be the only one. -
