Watched alot anime during the past month (or rather a lot more than I usually do).
Seto no Hanayome was hilarious, don't remember when was the last time I watched such a fun show.

So I didn't write anything for more than a month... Well, it's not that I didn't have time to do it, but still my free time keeps getting constrained...
School will be over in less than 2 months. It's my final year in high school and I really feel sad for having to part with my friends. It's not that I'll never meet them again, but these four years were the best time in my life, and thinking that it'll never be the same makes me emo =(
On the other hand, I'm studying for the uni entrance exams and that's what's keeping me busy lately. There's really a lot, and my confidence is dropping as it draws near...
As for AMVs... Um well, I tried to make something for Acen but whatever I start it seems to fail miserably... There are 3 projects in total that I dropped in less than a month. Total waste of time. And guess what! All 3 were drama vids. I knew from the start that I wasn't up for this but still proceeded with it... So yeah, no Acen video, and if this continues no AWA video. Now that I think about it, I might end up not releasing a single video this year :| The 'big' project I'm working atm requires a lot of work and effort, for which I don't have time... -

Come on, I'll try and be as short as possible here...
Actually, now that I think about it, there isn't that much to complain about (not as much as i thought there would be)... Spoil for best char profile and fx... I really thought that there were better choices... Nostromo won video of the year again... And Editor... And most artistic... I was really hoping that Atom would win this one since I found Time Waits For No One a lot more artistic (then again there are a lot of different 'definitions' of artistic). And SL winning best no-fx... Call me a fanboy/n00b (which I am anyway), but I actually liked that video a lot. Then again, there were a lot better choices here too.
The rest was pretty much ok. Acceptable and expectable...
On the other hand, JCA's were a lot more satisfying. As everyone, I dont agree with a few decisions, but I'm happy to see some VCA-ignored editors/videos win in JCA's.
And NOW:
Most Improved :| - I honestly thought Chii was going to win this one. She deserved it more than I did and I'm happy to see she won in JCA's ;)
SO! In order to do some justice here, I'm starting a campaign of some sort. Since, Attack Of The Otaku was finished on January the 1st this year, I'm officialy starting to gather supporters for - Chii for VCA 2009 Editor of the Year. Yeah. You know I'm right. Everyone who's interested, pm me or contact me via msn or aim.

Best Fun :| - Seriously, this was one of the biggest categories (besides Most Artistic- correct me if I'm wrong). I'd be cool with any of the other videos winning (especially Lets just be SUPER CUTE GIRLS! or SugardanSen), but like this, it remains one of the more questionable categories :|
Best Dance - This is the only category, besides Rookie of the Year, that I wanted and hoped that I would win in. Now, I know that Feel the Mambo isn't in any way better video than the others in this category. Actually I would be happy with Bakadeshi and Chii winning (again :|) and JaddziaDax, too. But, Magic Pad winning here would be a bit weird, because it wasn't really a dance video. I mean, it did have a couple of dance scenes but hey, not as much as the others. If it was an 'upbeat' category (yeah, I make difference between upbeat and dance), it would be a little different, but Pad's genre is pretty much hard to define accurately. Other?
You might wonder why I said I wanted Mambo to win here (despite other videos being better)? The reason is simple actually... It's because I probably won't ever make a dance video again... And dance is the only thing I know how to edit, so I probably won't ever have a chance to make such video again. That was my top (may have come too early though). Ehh, I guess Feel the Mambo is something unrepeatable for me. You can love it or hate it, but it will always remain my favourite video, despite what other people may think :p
I edit for myself after all ;)
