    So I'm almost positive I failed my Logic final...yay. -_- I've never had one class make me feel incredibley stupid before. I mean...I actually tried to do well. That's really depressing...

    I only have one final to go, and it's on friday. Hopefully I can pass that one. I just can't wait til they're all over. This semester has just been hell. It's safe to say that I'm couldn't be more excited for Christmas break to start.

    I think I'm going to go take a nap. I only slept three hours last night. /: (finishing my theatre project, and studying my ass off for an exam that I just failed anyway) Maybe I'll be in a better mood when I get up. Then I can get some opinions that I've been meaning to get done finished...

     
  • Hmm... 2006-12-05 15:02:52 Greggus1 - That was really interesting...your hierarchy seems pretty accurate; I'm pretty sure I could identify people in each of those categories. The part about pros sometimes taking the time to acknowledge a newbie (and how those are memorable moments) made me laugh, just because it happened to me yesterday...and your description was just so true. Sierra Lorna left me a nice QC for my new videos yesterday, and my jaw practically hit the ground. I couldn't help thinking, "One of my favorite editors watched MY video?? ...wow." *eyes wide* hahaha....

    What you mentioned about the all 1 op for you video really bothers me as well. It bugs me that since Naruto has become so popular (thus increasing the amount of noob vids), people like to shun Naruto amv's. -_- Some people put a hell of a lot of thought and heart into those videos (you, being a good example), and it upsets me that they tend to be automatically written off, just because they are Naruto. *sighs*

    I'm glad to hear that you are going to keep on making videos...I'm eager to see your next one. ^_^

    Well, I really need to go do my theatre project...I have a ton of it left to do.

    My Logic teacher is officially amazing. Courtney, Mark, and I went to take our final at 11am today, when it really started at 10am...and he told us we could just come in on Wednesday and take it with his other class. (score!) I needed more study time really bad. I was so afraid he wasn't going to let us take it...I REALLY don't want to have to take that class again, so failing would not be a good idea.

    I also went shopping today for supplies for my Theater project. I can either design a set or design some costume...not sure which one I'm going to do yet. I should probably get started on that tonight. /:

    Yesterday, I was hunting around on e-bay for some anime, and I was just disappointed again at how many bootlegs there are floating around. /: I own a few bootlegs myself, but I bought them before I knew much about how much anime should cost and what's actually legit...I found Lain and Elfen Lied both for an extremely cheap price, and just thought I was just getting a good deal. (good thing the quality was still decent...) :P Then there was the Naruto dvd's I bought...dear god, those were terrible. They were actually just recorded off the television, and the subtitles were crap. And the person had the nerve to argue with me that 'all of there dvd's are legit.' Ugh...I guess it was pretty stupid of me to buy them though. It just really bothers me that a lot of people are buying bootlegs, thinking they're real, and they're not. If you do a little research on bootlegs, most of the time it's pretty obvious as to what's fake and what's not. (something I should have done before buying the ones I bought). I guess it's not a big deal to some people...anime is anime; it's just something that bothers me.

    /end random rant.

    Onto the topic of editing, I've already got a new idea for my next amv...unfortunatley, I won't be able to start editing until finals are over, and I'm home for christmas break. Actually I've been brainstorming the idea for a little while now, but I've just now decided to actually put it in motion. A lot of people will probably cringe to hear this, but it's going to be a Final Fantasy compilation. Overused...yes...but something I've always wanted to create. The FF games are something that were introduced to me when I was pretty young, and I've always considered them rather special to me. I've been a huge FF fan before I ever even started watching anime. I consider them some my favorite (love) stories of all time. So...I really wanted to create a good amv to do those stories justice. I'm really excited to start editing. :) But, first, I should probably start working on some mep stuff...I haven't even thought about those yet. I haven't even chosen the song for Signs of Darkness and Grief, yet...crap, I need to get on that. /:

    Oh, and for some comic relief, I fell on my ass in Wal-Mart today...not just tripped, but full on slid about three feet before I hit the ground. haha...there was this old lady walking by when it happened, and she was like "Oh dear! Are you going to be okay, honey?!!"...like I was going to die or something....I kind of wanted to die, I was so embarrassed. :O I guess it must have been a sight to see. Me and my gracefullness. XP

    Anyway, I think I'm out for now. I'm hungry...

  • DONE! 2006-11-30 04:38:22 Will upload tomorrow...I'm too exhausted right now to write up the description and all that good stuff. I'm fairly happy with the final encode...I wanted it to be better...but oh, well. I think it still think it's the best quality as a whole that I've gotten so far.

    Yeah...I really need to sleep. I so don't want to go to lab tomorrow morning. ;_; But, we're having a quiz, so I have to. Argh.
