Final Premiere Date Decided! Irregulars will be in a Competition.

Ok, even though I may complete it by the end of this weekend, Irregulars will be my competition entry this year for Anime North, thus, using the con as my videos premiere date (as all my vids have done). Seriously, I don't really think I'll be hosting it before then (and with hosting like FP crashing and burning, I think I'm still gonna just wait until .org supplies hosting).
So, Irregulars will premiere Friday night, May 24, 2002, on the big screen, at Anime North ^^.
Ah, so far away, yet I'm exited already, I'm looking forward to meeting a number of people there. AN just keeps getting better =D.
When the video is actually done, I'll modify the video description accordingly, as I'll be able to talk more about the changes, effects and such, and why =P. This vid is new territory mixed in with old and familiar territory. I'm having a lot of fun with this one >=D. I hops the Rockman X fans out there get as much a kick out of it as I do. Word around the forums lately is that video game MVs are not that popular/wanted. Yet Irregulars has now gotten more attention than Miyu the Shinma Slayer. I wonder if it has anything to do with the amount I have to say about it in the vid contents... I think I rambled too much on it :/. The real reason for attention may be because I inadvertantly plug it, whether here in the Journal or on the Forum... inadvertant my ass, subconsciously I do it on purpose =P.
The video is scheduled to be complete either next weekend or the weekend thereafter, circumstances depending, but don't forget that Murphy's Law is waiting to bite me in the ass as always! So it may get pushed back ¬¬. The good news is a clear picture of what needs to be done, and a better idea of how much time will be needed this time.
No clue what to do about premiering the video yet. I'll talk to the Doc about our options, since he's started slicing and dicing on his own ^^. We'll both have stuff to put up before long. My older works still won't be able to go up anytime soon though.
I may try to hit conventions outside of Toronto with this vid... we'll see what happens. I need to upgrade this fucking comp x.x. -

Well, it has been agreed upon and made, the Image/logo (it's too illustrative to be a logo, but it is the bumper) of our future studio. Irregulars will be the first vid to be under the studio's title. The studio shall remain secret until everything is ready to roll though. It looks pretty good, but I need smack some serious photoshop on it to make it bumper ready.
BUT IT BEGINS! The forming of a studio where great minds and multiple resources join to form the dawning of a new era in AMVs!!!... okay maybe not, but I think this will grow to be an awesome team. -

The Doc has lead me into a wicked idea, and now I am becoming obsessed with it. You have no idea how many times I've been playing the track now. Some people would go mad.
The music is one I'm not use to dealing with. It's a style of music I should listen to more often, because I do like it ^^. I reviewed a vid recently using the same artist but different track (the vid I'm planning is using a track for the first time). It was an Ok vid, not great, but it was somewhat useful. I'm starting to get a mental map of what I want to do with most of the vid now. I may even throw in some lip syncing. The character reflections between the song and anime fucking rock! It's gonna be a twisted vid too. I LOVE THIS!!! I need to rewatch the anime to get a good map though, because I don't own it yet and I've only seen it once. It's in my top 10 for those that are curious, so I do know the anime well enough (it really engraved itself into my memory). This vid is gonna be a challenge in some respects, but the concept is MADE to work!
I wanna start that studio with the Doc. He may be jumping into the scene before long now, I look forward to his appearance ^^.
