  • Eh. 2001-10-22 18:32:15 Finally got ahold of the last of my favorite AX AMVs,
    since doki doki uploaded Right Now. A kind friend
    back home is sending me his Radeon, which is
    a better cap card than I have now (which is, well,
    nothing). It's in trade for a G-Force 2. Normally
    I'd be getting the short end of the stick, but ah
    well. The only games I'm looking forward to in the
    near future are Civ III and the new DooM. Since
    DooM is a ways off, I can get a G-Force 3 later.

    Radeon will suit me just fine. Maybe I could
    build up a new computer just for video stuff.
    Hrm...

  • Food Good 2001-10-18 12:49:17 I sit here now, bored and making knifty (ka-nifty) Lain backgrounds for my workspace here on da' G4s, as I contemplate the joy of a paper completed. Having returned to my tiny itsy-bitsy dorm on Sunday night (goin' home for the weekend), and doing one tiny assignment, I will finally be able to get back to AMV Stuff.

    Hopefully I can figure out how to do a good job on the one I'm working on now... Lots of techical bits with that one.

    After that, two or three more ideas I'm ready to go on. At least one I know I have source for.

    The BIG idea I came up with just the other night would requre such a hideous amount of source (dom and import) that I dunno if I'll ever be able to do it. We shall see.

    I am hungry now, however. Still two more hours of 'work.'
    I like food. It's yummy. Especially cheese sandwhiches. Can't beat cheese sandwhiches when you're on a budget. Mmm, yum.

    Watch Invader Zim, it's good for Jhonen's health. Not yours, though. It will probably drive you mad.

    Hrm... need Zim source... yes...
    What a twisted vid that could be.

    for the entire (tho rather short)
    time it's been up. Especially
    when I discover this
    during a break
    for the
    night
    from a
    mid-term reseach
    paper. I am quite
    tired and tomorrow I am
    going to raise hell with my
    friend who runs the server. Grr. Grr.

    At work right now, just found out that if you don't want to render to DV/miniDV or QuickCrap, these dual 550 G4s w/ final cut pro 2 aren't that useful. They CAN render AVI... but only in the cinepak codec... interlaced... >_<

    So I guess I'll just keep to editing on my horribly underpowered system at home... *sigh*

    Goddam not-working 1ghz... slow 400mhz... grr...

    if only I had several hundred dollars laying around... I could get one of those NICE capture cards... Bah.
