*sigh*
Today the results for the nomination round of the VCAs came out. I am horribly disapointed. I hate this so much, because I know EVERY single one of my videos is better made than "Trancsending Love"! That video was SOOOO bad. I understand that the effects were well done, but everything looked so out of place it wasn't worth it. "Tainted Dounts" was a good video because it was so well blended, the scenes weree selected so well. That video sucked... because they weren't. Far more effort was put into that than should have been. And I got one nomination. And it wasn't even for a video. I was nominated for Best New Creator, and there is no way in hell I'm going to beat Koopiskeva (who I mark for the landslide victory in that category.)
Anyway, I'll stop bitching now. -

Today, I went to Tokyos Komiketto (comic market) which is the largest manga/anime related event in all of Japan. Enjoy? I loved it. It was quit different from what I have expirienced of American conventions because it was much more centered around the dealer room, and the sales of the event. As a matter of fact, there werent hardly any live programed events. I think there might have been panels, but I didnt see any, not that I would have understood much if I had! Anyway, I bought some cool stuff. Mostly hentai manga, but I was surprised to find that the artists are now starting to release their art on CD, which cuts down on production costs, and allows for better picture quality IMO. Anywho, I got some really gothic looking non-hentai stuff for the express purpous of updating my webpae which is looking extremely drab right about now. I also got two CDs of pure hentai art, one awful hard core/tenticle type, and one soft core/echi type for possible use at parts of my web page (the non explicit images that is). I havent had a chance to look at any of it because my host family is around, but Ill scrutinize it all before deciding on the new design (though I think Ill be sticking to the more gothic style for the time being)
Anyway, on other things, M0rgan, I am SOO freaking happy for you. When I first read your post, I was SHOCKED to hear you being chipper and found it hard to believe. Im so thrilled to hear that youll be feeling better from now own. ^_^
In my life, well, my host family is lending this computer to a family friend, so I will loose my connection to the world (and all form of entertainment) for the next few days. I am pissed and all, but I can live with it, and Im not going to even mention this to my host family (I have to act like its no big deal: Japanese culture you know -_-)
As for my newest video, stick a fork in it, its done.. now just to find the right serving platter.... *grins foolishly* - Sigh.. 2002-09-24 08:01:54 This is such a joke, I'm going to stop kidding myself, I cannot even try to keep any kind of a journal, and so I think I'll give up now. This is pretty much the last time I will make a journal entry until I return to the states in about four months. Gomen.

Well, I'm definately learning Japanese pretty damn fast here. It's really difficult to say exactly how it works, except to say that I'm learning. Other than that, I'm really not doing a whole hell of alot in this country. The people are freaking awsome, and I think there a good chance taht I'll make some awsome nihonjin friends.
My new new family is really cool. My host mom is like the best mother anyone could have, and my host sisters are very nice. And aside from my host father'S prepensity to speaking English to me, he's cool too. I'm quickly burning up all the episodes of Inu Yasha I missed in the states, this endeavor was greatly expidited by my host mom's loving support. I would also like to say that I miss video editing more than just about anything else I did in the states.

I know this is totally odd and all but... I'm finding that now taht I'm in Japan I really miss my anime. This is wierd and all but... There is just nothing quit like subtitles... *sigh*
