Today is Chrissy's birthday, she's 17. Today is my dad's birthday, he's 44. We went to the aquarium. It was fun, I took lots of pictures... you'll have to excuse my lack of enthusiasm, I nearly forgot that someone I used to be very close to (but then he was a jerk to me, but we've kind of made up, we are on friendly terms now) left for the air force today. my friend, I wish you good luck in whatever you do in life. It must be hard to leave everything you've ever known... I can't imagine ever doing that...
ok, anyway, I was working on my music video last night, at like... 3:00 in the morning, it's getting harder and harder :-( ever notice how the first 30 seconds is pretty easy to do, but after that, it's just impossible?! I wanna kick my computer up the power supply, that should show it! hehe =P
Speaking of videos, the Otakon was in it's last day yesterday, I can't wait to find out which music videos won the contest. I really wanna download them. I can't wait to see Meri Cantoni's new Fushigi Yuugi vid, it was a competitor in the contest (which is saying a lot, because out of the 150 or so videos that are entered, only about 30 get to be put in the contest) I hope she uploads it soon ^_^ I also wanna find out the other winners. I hope there are some videos to my fav animes ^_^

FINALLY! my computer is fully retarded... I kept trying to run a defrag, and it kept starting over, grrr.... but then I got it to work, and it only took like 50 minutes, which was cool, since last time I did it, it took a couple hours.
I couldn't work on my amv last night :-( cause it kept skipping, and it was dumb, I got so frustrated I just stopped trying to work. But today, I'm gonna do some stuff, I have to go through a couple seconds of clips and take out the subtitles though x_x that is going to be a bit tedious. I had no idea there was so much time-consuming, long, boring, work involved in this x_x
And as I am making my music vid, I am also working with Chris on his remake... I'm not gonna have time for anything else! but I don't mind, I really have fun when I'm working on my music vid ^_^
Yesterday Chris, Chrissy, and I all played Simpsons Monopoly, it was the shizzat. But no one would have been able to get a monopoly, so we just stopped the game in the middle.
When I went to the mall yesterday, I bought the second manga to Marmalade Boy. I absolutely LOVE it! I've only seen the first 9 eps of the series, I thought there were only 26, but there are really like... over 70 I think (or so I read in the manga, it said so in one of those side column thingers...) and the place I buy my anime at, only has 3 DVDs (but there are like, 9 eps on DVD, it's awesome!) but that means I have to download the rest, and the eps are relatively small compared to the other episodes I have downloaded, I mean, Chobits is close to 200 megs an episode, some are over 200, but Marmalade boy, all the eps are only 100 megs. But it's near impossible to get a connection :-( And I do wanna buy the series. But it hasn't been lisenced yet... nuts. I've been trying to download the 10th episode for the longest time, it's only got 13MB left to go, so close... yet so far. damn this 56k modem! damn it all to hell!
Also, when I was at the mall, Chrissy purchased the 2nd manga of Chobits, I made her buy the first one about a week ago (we go to the mall about once a week, it's a bit hard on my wallet though, since I don't have a job) just about an hour ago, she ran into my room "LET ME BORROW THE 3RD CHOBITS MANGA!" (I own 3-6) because apparently the 2nd leaves off on a cliff hanger. I'm glad she likes it ^_^ when she first met my bro, she didn't like anime or anything, but now she is really getting into it. Another one has been converted...

of banners and videos

first of all, I would like to give a BIG "thank you" to the 92 people who voted "worthy" for my banner (and I know 2 of them were me and my brother...) I was so excited to log on, and see that the voting had finished. I was a bit scared when I saw that only one of the... I think 7 that had been put up at the same time as mine, had won. But when I found out it was mine, I was so happy ^_^ I can't wait to be browsing through the website and see my banner pop up. I can finally go, "hey! I made something! and 92 people out of 150 don't think it sucks!"
on another note, I started working on my video last night, (once again, while watching Highlander... that's such a great show!) and once again, I must thank my bro, for all the help he has given me, in helping me with premiere, and in getting my clips together.
me and my bro (I'm tired of calling him my bro... his name is Chris!) stayed up way late last night... *insert ominous music here* getting along! we had lots of fun, he was hyper... it was weird. We also came up with a lot of AMV ideas that we are hopefully going to make this year (haha, he admitted that if he didn't have a girlfriend, then he would have made a lot of music vids this summer. but it's ok, I love his gf, she is really cool, we are actually going to the mall in a couple hours. her name is Chrissy, haha, Chris and Chrissy, it's cute!) But yea, so me and Chris came up with lots of ideas last night, and I'm going to help him redo one of his old music videos (I actually think it was his first ever music vid)
Hopefully we will be getting a cable connection soon. My bro is going to be in college this year, but he is commuting, and we think that's a good enough reason to beg my parents for cable internet (even they think it's a good idea...) so if we get that, then we'll be able to upload music vids! well, we can do it now... but... it would take forever! and I live on my computer... I go insane without it!
:-( Otakon is in it's second day today, I was supposed to go with my bro and his friends, but things didn't work out, so none of us went. it's the 10th year too :-( I bet it would have been the shizzat... oh well, can't be helped. there is always next year ^_^ and hopefully I'll be able to enter the AMV contest.
oh, forgot to mention this before, I am now a member of We & I (which is my bro's production studio, his best friend used to be in it too... but he moved, maybe he is still in it... I dunno.. he's comin to visit during winter vaca though... just thought I'd share that)
just thought I'd put up some dates that are important to me for my final note:
2 days, August 11: my dad's 44th(?) birthday, and Chrissy's 17th birthday, happy birthday you guys! love ya!
3 days: August 12th: My friend Sam is coming back to Connecticut for 6 days, he moved last summer, I miss him. Hopefully he's gonna come over and we're gonna watch lots of anime ^_^
24 days, September 3rd: First day of school. I'm no longer a stupid freshman! I'm emberassed of my class... I think I was born a couple years late... *burries face in hands* I am not associated with those individuals in any way
157 days, December 25th: Christmas, the best of all holidays, me and my best friend are already talking about it "I love christmas... I wish it was here... this is what I want..." haha. (it's also my mom's best friend's birthday... happy birthday Carol! whoa... her name is Carol... and she's born on Christmas... CHRISTMAS CAROL! I just got that... I'm a dork)
ok, on this note, I shall depart, I need to shower, and bum lots of money off my mom, and go to the mall.

I've never written an online journal entry before... and I didn't really plan on making on here until I made my first music vid (which will hopefully premiere by the end of summer vacation, but seeing as school is starting on september 3rd... and I'll finally be able to start making it tomorrow... the possibility of meeting that deadline is... well not realistic if I plan on making a really good AMV)
this morning, at 1am, the process began. with Highlander playing on my television (which is conveniently located above my comp) I began the long tedious job of making my downloaded (but good quality) clips usuable. I had to type the start frame and endframe of every clip I wanted to use in a different text document (there was more stuff in the doc, but I don't feel like explaining something I don't even understand) and there were 75 clips o_O then I had to rename each .txt file as an .avs file... that's 75 files! I wanted cry... the pain doesn't end there, then I had to use virtual dub to convert the files into .avi, so I had to file, open, (select file), save as, (type file name), add to job list, save... 75 times!!!!! the number 75 is my mortal enemy... yarr!
But, I do want to say to my brother, who is showing me how to make my clips usuable, and figured out all this stuff for me, "thank you! I love you! you are sooooo awesome! even though you are a jerk sometime, I could not live (or make AMVs) without you!" *hug to the brother* my brother is a cool dude ^_^ and I appreciate everything he does for me.
I am not going to reveal what song or anime my video is too, I figure it can be a surprise... (surprise to who? the ppl who read this? which is like... no one? if you are reading this... you are probably a loser with nothing better to do... haha, jk. I'm the loser who is writing this shizzat)
oh, please vote for my banner ^_^ it's the "letter bombs... another consequence of making a bad AMV" it's my first banner for this website... please be gentle ^_^
wow... I'm all shakey... I think it's cause I'm tired... I've only been awake for like... 13 hours... but it's 3am... time for me to get some shut eye ^_^
