Once again, I have fallen victim to workaholism... Today I had my lab partner over from about 11:30 until 5:00, we worked non stop on our board game project for Bio, which still isn't done. I still need to type up 93 answer cards. And we plan on getting together again on the second probably, so that we can finish coloring in the board (which has 124 spaces, which I outlined, but now we need to draw stuff and label the spaces) we also need to make little game pieces... All I have to say is... we better get an A on this!
Speaking of A's, I still haven't gotten on on DDR. I haven't played at all today, but I don't think my legs could take it. I played a total of 6 hours yesterday, and my calves hurt so badly you can't even imagine. It hurts to walk... I am constantly stretching them out...
Today was a good day for stuff in the mail. My famiy finally received a Christmas card from Sam's family, with a long letter about what's happened in the past year, which was nice to read, they are such nice people ^_^ and the second part of Kayleigh's Christmas present, season 2 of Fushigi Yugi, FINALLY came in the mail today! yay! I seriously thought it would never come...
Tomorrow and the next day I am working for my aunt again, yay, I can't wait to get back to standing for two hours, but listening to Radiohead all the while. Not to mention getting paid $11.75 an hour.
Has anyone ever heard of the Brown Derbies? They are a really great a capella group. All they do is covers, but it totally rocks! I also happen to be in love with covers. I just love hearing other groups versions of songs that I already love. well, the Brown Derbies, being a capella, use no instruments, but they make all the noises for the instruments... it's quite amusing, and very well done. They have a great cover of Karma Police, originally by Radiohead, and Never There, originally by Cake. They also did a cover of Take on Me, originally by Ah-ha, I've never heard hte original of this song, but I have heard the cover of it by Reel Big Fish, which is one of the greatest songs ever! If you get a chance, download some of their songs. I don't believe they have a CD, I looked it up on Amazon, but didn't get any results.
well, I'm out ^_^

stuff and stuff
2003-12-28 21:07:55
well, still stressed o_O but playing DDr for 6 hours seems to help... I still really suck and can't get an A, blargh! my calves hurt so badly! XP
Called Sam on Christmas day to see how everything was going and to wish him a happy holiday... we told eachother what we got, here's a little paraphrased experpt from our conversation.
Chelsea: so yeah, my dad gave me 100 blank CDs, so now I have 200, since I just bought a whole spindle a couple weeks ago, and haven't used any yet.
Sam: *grumble* oooh... that's what I got you...
Chelsea: wait? seriously?
Sam: yea
Chelsea: hahahahaha, well, now I won't need to buy CDs for like... a year...
so... if he ever gets off his lazy bum and mails me those CDs, then I'll have 300 blank CDs... I dunno where to put them all!
Tomorrow my lab partner is coming over so we can get a head start on our bio project, and possibly finish it. It's supposed to be an in class project... but if we can finish it, or get most of it done tomorrow, then we'll have at least 2 free class periods, which would totally rock, especially cause my school has block schedualing, meaning each class is 85 minutes long.
I'm kinda bummed that I invited my lab partner over for tomorrow though, it slipped my mind that Kayleigh's cousin's hockey tournament is tomorrow. Kayleigh is not sure if she will be able to attend, but if she can, she wants me to come too, cause her cousin, Gillian, wants to meet me so badly, it's soooo funny. I hope the tournament isn't until later in the day, so then I can do my project and go to the game, or if I have to cut working on the project shorter... oh well... I really wanna meet Gillian, she seems so nice!
As for the rest of vacation... I dunno what's gonna happen, I'm working Tuesday and Wednesday probably... I need the money (still...) and Chrissy may or may not be having a party... then I'm babysitting New years eve (but only until 10:30... lol, the parents are going to a party... but only till 10:30... this makes me laugh) so hopefully I'll be able to hang out with some ppl after... like Kayleigh!
well, this is getting long... I'm out

weee Christmas!
2003-12-25 16:08:55
well, it's finally Christmas... I've been soooo stressed out this past week due to last minute shopping, and a long term project that was due the day before vacation... that I hadn't started... But now that Christmas is here, the stress has slightly ebbed (and having a hissy fit the other day helped too) I'm still really stressed out... it feels like I'm forgetting something... or like it's not really vacation and I have school tomorrow... I dunno...
*opens up My Computer, clicks on F: Drive, stats read 57.2GB free* got an external hard drive for Christmas from my parents *drool* I hooked it up by myself ^_^ I'm so proud of me! I like to think of myself as computer savvy... but when I tried to install my ethernet card for the cable interent... well... lets just say I don't like performing open case surgery on my computer... now I know why my bro gets so angry whenever he has to open up his comp... But I was very succesful in installing my hard drive ^_^ I only encountered a small problem, and I solved it all by myself! yay =)
I also got Simpson's UNO, a really cool tube scarf, a T-shirt from the musical Wicked (go see it! it's on Broadway now! best musical ever!) an ice cream maker (yum) 9 pairs of socks (I needed them...) a glue gun (I needed it) a 100 pack of blank CDs (when I told my dad I wanted that.... I needed it, but then I went out and bought one, after he had already bought me one for Christmas... oh well, now I have about 200 blank CDs!) a new piggy bank that is majorly cute (Chrissy's parents got it from me! aren't they sweet ^_^) Finding Nemo, a new watch (the same as my old one, a blue Baby G, I didn't think mine was that dirty... but ew, my old one disgusts me now... haha) the 2004 Ferret Frenzy calendar (if anyone has seen these calendars, they are sooo cute and hilarious!) Dance Dance Revolution, the dance pad, and my bro's old playstation (all from Chris and Chrissy ^_^ they rock! I love it!) a Homer Simpson Chia Pet, leather gloves, earrings,... I think that's it, I'm sure I'm forgetting something. Oh, and from various family members, I got a grand total of $350... w00t!
Kayleigh got my a great Christmas present, she got me a present for each letter of my name (that's what I did for her birthday) C is for Coconut shampoo and conditioner (my favorite, we also, a while ago, had a long talk about how coconut shampoo is the best smelling shampoo ever!) H is for Hershey's chocolate (she got me 2 GIANT bars of Hershey's) E is for elastic hair bands, L is for lollipops (a big bag of Dumdums, I am what I eat) S is for squackers (noise maker things) E is for envelopes (padded ones, so I can send stuff to Sam) and A is for Album (a photo album with 200 spaces, she filled the first two spaces with pictures of my "boyfriend" meaning... her cat Huskers who always licks me... more than any cat should lick a person)
I think that's it ^_^ Merry Christmas everyone!

wow, this weekend has been eventful...
I finally finished my Christmas shopping... I think, I have two more things to come in the mail, and I hope one of them comes by Tuesday, cause I have to give it to my best friend Kayleigh before school gets out. Just Monday, then half day Tuesday... and then I don't have to go back till the 5th... I need a break.
Friday... what happened Friday? I can't remember! oh wait! now I do! I got home from school and packed for babysitting. Then around 4:00 someone, a male, came inside and said "Hello?" it wasn't my dad's voice... was it James coming to pick me up for babysitting? (James is the mom's boyfriend) no... it was way to early. I run out into the dining room to see who it is... and it's.... JASON!!!!!!!! yay! I ran up and gave him a giant hug! yay! so Jason is back from college. Chris and him went to go see Jules (a friend of ours, subs at my school sometimes, taught karate at the dojo my brother goes to, and Jason went to until he left for college, he also went to the Otakon with us) well they went to see Jules without me =( but that's cause I had to go babysit.
Saturday morning, Liz (the mom) drove me home from babysitting at about 10:00, and she gave me a $50 gift certificate to The Gap for Christmas ^_^ well that lasted about 2 hours... cause my mom and I went out shopping right after I got home. Then I wrapped lots of presents. Then Kayleigh came over at 5:30, and we hung out for a while, and went babysitting at 7:00, and got home at 12:00, $25 each ^_^
Sunday morning, more shopping, Kayleigh, my mom, and I, went to Walmart, where I got some super cool stocking stuffers for Chris ^_^ and The Emporers New Groove for Kira (girl I babysit for, Liz's daughter) and then we dropped off Kayleigh, and went home. I made lots of candy and packed it up to give to my friends for the holidays. Then... JESSE CAME OVER! yay more cool college ppl ^_^ I love my bro's friends! we played Mario Kart Double Dash, and I sucked... but it was fun...
and now here I am, procrastinating a HUGE civics project I have to do, which was assigned in... October, and is due on Tuesday o_O needless to say, I've barely started.
well... I should probably go do stuff, I'm already in vacation mode, which is gonna suck since I have school tomorrow... but whatever... this entry was probably painful for you to read... sorry ^.^'

what a long day...
2003-12-14 02:09:04
ugh, my mom is not the brightest person ever. On weekends... it doesn't really click that I should go to bed early... so I tend to stay up till 1:00 or 2:00 in the morning... but my mom likes to wake me up at 8:00 to inform me of what she's doing... "I'm going to the mall, wanna come?" ugh, it's EIGHT IN THE MORNING! NO I DON'T WANNA COME! well... I changed my mind, and did go... I FINALLY BOUGHT ALICE 19TH! I was so upset last time I went to the mall and they didn't have it =( but when I was in Waldenbooks today, I saw it, and even though I shouldn't be buying stuff for myself, or spending any more money... I just had to get it... IT'S SOOOOO GOOD! (for those of you who don't know, Alice 19th is the new manga series by Watase Yu, creator of Fushigi Yugi and Ayashi No Ceres, two of my favorite anime)
Then, we picked up some Chinese food and my mom brought me to work, where we sat down and ate it... after 2 hours of work I decided "hmm... I have a science project to work on... and my feet hurt, and I hate cutting this type of rubber!" so I clocked out and my uncle drove me home (I usually don't work much more than 2 hours anyway) I got home and was so beat, so I took a nap until 7:00, then I took a shower, cause I smelt like rubber XP and then I watched Swordfish, then Die Hard 2, then Soldier... I love the Superstation! Swordfish was really good, I missed the beginning though, Die Hard 2 I didn't really pay attention too (haha, to anyone who knows me... well... I didn't really pay attention during Die Hard 1... hahahah, Joey and Brian got mad at me and Sam... LMFAO!) Soldier was different... I didn't know what I was watching at first, it reminded me of the book Brave New World by Aldous Huxley (excellent book! go read it! now! enrich yourself!) because of the conditioning to the soldiers and what not...
Now it's 3am and I have a bio project on evolution due Tuesday... needless to say I haven't started... I'm doing it on the evolution of anime =P it's gonna rock! I hope... I've gotten nothing lower an a 95 on all my other bio projects though... this is the only one I've ever been worried about though... I hope I do well... well I better get back to work...
I'm out
