  • Another video... 2003-09-10 23:34:22 Today, I created my second video. This one focuses on Nina's friend Ayu, but unlike the first one, this one is more serious, and more romantic at times. Elvis Costello's song "She" set the tone nicely for this. This is another character profile video, and the first video on Ayu Tateishi. I would have added the swimsuit scene, or scenes of her playing tennis, but it just wouldn't fit in with my objective. This video was designed to show Ayu when she's concerned, angry, depressed...the low side of her. For some odd reason, I think Ayu is more beaatiful when she's depressed. Or course, I added in some hope, at least to show Ayu smiling. The flashback scene of Ayu and Kaji looked like a good addition, as well as Episode 16. I was very picky about what I wanted as my scenes. I think this turned out well.

    However, as of this writing, it's being uploaded onto my server, and I entered in the new video when it began uploading. I apologize if you folks get a problem initially. The link on that is final; I'm just uploading the file, which is not as huge, but could take several minutes to transfer on a DSL line.

    I hope everyone enjoys "She...is Ayu." I'm sure I did.

  • Fixed the link 2003-09-06 16:20:56 Apparently the original link to my video wasn't working, so I simply called the file "majokogirl.wmv." Hope that helped. I got a lot of hits for this video. I'd better give the UruManiac what they want...

  • And so, it begins... 2003-09-06 00:23:08 I have finally dove in. My first video out of the way. I was feeling really hyped about it. I was thinking about an Ultra Maniac music video. When I saw that there wasn't one yet. I decided to take a stab at this. Ultra Maniac a really cool anime series. Nina Sakureiru, the cute witch (majoko) who tries her hardest, but seems to have her shortcomings, was one character I admired. She's not the best at first glance, but her perseverance made her stronger.

    So, I said to myself, "Hey, how about making a video on this?" There was one song, "Tokyo Girl" by Ace of Base, that really reflected her character nicely (at least IMHO). So, I then said to myself, "I think we're getting the ball rolling."

    Using Windows Movie Maker got things done quickly, since it split up the master files into strategic duplicates. However, I had to switch my project to another computer, since it kept on closing on mine's. Despite a few crashes by the program on the other system, I got it done. It turned out pretty nice.

    I started with a news flash, transitioning into a golden sepia transformation of Nina to her witch form. The reason why I put in the sepia was to give it a glowy intro. Who is this girl? What makes this cute and cuddly Majoko special? And then, the fun begins.

    Ultimately, this becomes a character profile video. I added in a bit of Ayu and Kaji just to enhance the scenario. Since this was my first time making a video like this, let alone on this series, I went for subtlety and an atmosphere that made you want to kick back and cuddle up. That's my nature, and I stick by it.

    I hope everyone enjoys that video. I hope to provide more. And THAT, my friend, is the bottom line. v^_^v
