Well, I've been here for almost a year, so I figure actually putting something in my journal would be a good thing. I've learned so much about making amvs. I look back at some of the stuff I've made and it makes me cringe inside, but hey, part of the learning experience. I'm really excited too. I'll be getting a new computer in a few days. I've been making movies on a dinosaur and now I won't be. My brother-in-law is sending it to us and he even put a movie program on it just for me since he knows I made amvs. Whoopeeeee!
Plus, I think I've gotten to the point where I can take critisism in the way it's meant to be taken. It was really frustrating when I thought I'd done a good job only to be told that I hadn't. There are still some mean people out there, but mostly I'm getting constructive feedback. Maybe it's because I'm better? Or maybe it's because I don't have subtitles anymore. Most likely a combination of both.
My daughter seems to have gotten the video editing bug as well. She's only 8, but she made a movie to Ouran High School Host Club. I didn't put it up here though since I didn't make it and she was using a fansubbed version that I downloaded so she could watch it. All in all though, I think it's a pretty good start. I hope she keeps up with it. I'm so proud of her. She's just an amazing kid. I'm a little biased though.
