  • DAMN it! 2003-10-04 13:17:48 Well, my dad just paid me an unexpected visit at my dorm room.... during which he revealed that he knows about my AWA 9 Expo Best Comedy prize.

    And how did he know? Because he found the link to my AMVs.org profile via Google -- !@#$in' GOOGLE -- and, after I explicitly stated on my member profile page that I would not put sensitive information (including my website's URL or the awards I've won) in my profile because I KNEW he had the link, he was intelligent enough to check out the individual videos' profile pages.

    Is there any way I can tell the AMV community about such things and yet keep them from annoying parents?

    This video premiered only a week after mine, and I didn't find out about it until just now.

  • ... Wow. 2003-09-28 20:14:47 I am somewhat in a state of shock.

    I never expected to win anything at the AWA 9 Expo, considering that there were over 200 entries, and I recognized some of the ones on the list as being outstanding videos.

    I was all set to be content with riding the wave of good feelings that came with getting an Asuka at NDK 7 last week and waiting for AnimeNEXT to come along next week.

    So imagine my surprise when Hsien (Kusoyaro) posts in the Contest board at the forums that "???? - Rocked by Rape" won Best Comedy.

    I'd like to thank all the judges who voted for me... but now I'm stuck wondering what other videos were in my category.

    Oh well, I shall just have to make do without.

    I seriously have to thank daphne and shinji13 for writing reviews for "NERV Evening News", because now that video finally has 8 reviews, which is enough to be counted in the Top 10% lists.

    And I'm proud to say that, with an average Originality score of 9.83, my video has made the Top 10% in originality:
