I really wish I could get my capture card working. I had a video idea pop into my head while listening to a new CD the week after AWA, and I was all excited about it, but I can't seem to get the damn footage into the computer. It's only available on VHS right now, and there don't seem to be any plans to bring it to DVD.
Perhaps I should upgrade my system. It worked fine in win98, before windows started getting slow from all the crap it was collecting. When win98 crashed really hard, I installed win2k. While it's a nice OS (and doesn't have that damned 4gig filesize limit), I can't seem to get my capture card to work without dropping frames like red hot pieces of metal.

I need to learn japanese.... *sigh*

Well, I just got home from an excruciating day at work. The first part of the day was OK, because there wasn't much to do the whole time. After we closed though, I decided to help ESPN piece together their set for the national PBA stop here. They were paying $15 an hour to anyone that wanted to help, and I thought "Sure." We spent 8 hours unloading stuff off a 15 foot trailer, carrying it in (all the way to the other end of the building), and setting it up, and we're still not done. They say there's another 4 hours or so of setup to do tonight, and then there's about 6 hours of teardown tomorrow night.
(Check out the show, tuesday night at 8pm eastern on ESPN...)
I don't think I'll be able to play DDR for a week, I'm aching so badly...
Hsien: That sucks. I tried playing DDR upstairs (on the big screen TV) yesterday, and I was shaking the room, and probably a good portion of the house, just with the easy songs. I even shook a decroative vase off the TV. (Thankfully, it didn't even get chipped or break the pad when it landed on the plastic box at the front of the pad...) I guess I'll have to play in the basement instead. I really hope you find a local arcade that has a machine. The nearest one here, according to ddrfreak.com, is an hour's drive from here. :(

Just about 3 hours ago, I went out and purchased DDR, having only seen an arcade machine once and having never played it. I thought it looked like it wasn't too terribly difficult.
I now know how wrong I was.
After about 2 hours of playing it, I've definitely gotten better, but I still have a long ways to go. I did somehow manage to even get a AA on one of "Have You Never Been Mello", "El Ritmo Tropical", or "Boom Boom Dollar" (I can't remember which), although I only really played the Beginner level.
