HAPPERS TIMESZ.
The office is disgustingly messy, there is paper EVERYWHERE, nobody is wearing a suit, and I'm pretty sure the front receptionist is a cradle robber 80 year old lady of LULZ.
It's just like being at the newspaper office! XD
No, I like this place a lot more than the last one I was at. They're pro-paperless [well, as much paperless as accountants can be, which isn't very much], so everything is done on computers, and pretty much everything else is just answering phones and junk.
My duties:
1) Bookeeping for all general accounts
2) Payrolls for all general accounts
3) Come tax season, taxes for all of our sole proprietorships and families [I share this will all the other part time accountants, naturally]
4) Auditing in the Winter for our bigger clients [Out of state]
But this isn't where the good news ends...
My contract I signed gets me on the track so that when I graduate, I can be hired as a full time staff accountant and get the pay-scale I deserve! So that means as long as I get my degree, I'm guaranteed a job after graduation!!!!
HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE! MY LIFE IS NOT ALLOWED TO BE SO GOOD!?!
The prospect of staying in Arkansas is a little disturbing, but the prospect of my 5 figure income above 60,000 a year and it being guaranteed is somewhat stronger! LOL.

The upcoming Assassin's Creed / Prince of Persia Marathon starts August 20th at 6:00PM Central and will run for 3 days (72 Hours). We will be playing through a lot of the Assassin's Creed and Prince of Persia games while raising money for the Gulf Restoration Network (http://www.healthygulf.org/).
TheSpeedGamers have been streaming video game marathons for over a year to raise money for various charities. In total they have raised over $200,000 dollars and played 18 marathons. They have raised over $57,000 in their week long Mario Marathon, and have made multiple news appearances. This upcoming marathon will be for ACT Today. This charity provides grant money for families that cannot afford or access the treatments their autistic children need.
During the marathon we will have multiple contests to win various prizes. Some are contributed by TheSpeedGamers' gracious community members.
This is about the best online community in the world, and I hope some of you can come and support us. If not, then that's ok. Just help spread our word! :D -

I... I.... Got another job offer from a different accounting firm?!!?! I'm OFF THE BLACKLIST?!?!

Maybe it was the part on the resume saying "will database for dollars" XD.
No, I actually wasn't on any blacklist or anything, I just had a bad falling out with my lass boss. He kicked me out and gave his nephew a job, without so much as a face to face greeting. Ya'll may or may not remember that. anyway, I basically kept a gigantic database from him that he'd not paid me for. I explained that as soon as I got my hourly wages for those weeks when I got fired, that I would gladly hand them over. He refused and apparently told everyone at the annual accountants sock hop about me. XD
Eventually his nice partner actually paid me and I gave her the database [and she apologized for the whole incident, saying how I was a great employee and she'd reccomend me to a few places]
Anyway, I finally got a call back from a different place where I'd been reccomended by her, and I go in tomorrow morning for an interview. They explained that I'm the last candidate, so I'll know right after the interview if I get the job or not. :D
Oh shit. An optimistic code? WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO?!
