JOURNAL: CodeZTM (Zackary )

  • B is for Bitching 2010-09-28 15:09:11 It's been a while since I've really BITCHED in my journal, so I'm putting some money in the swear jar and getting some frustrations out.

Marketing : This class is RETARDED. Not to marketing majors, for them this is essential. For me, an accounting major, I could CARE LESS. Let's add into the equaiton that the head of the marketing department teaches it and hates accounting majors. Let's also add in his RIDICULOUSLY STUPID online exams. YEah, we get to use the book, but in exchange he gets to ask questions like "IN what paragraph did X talk about Y when the pope was in a good mood?". RAEG.

Federal Taxes : Granted. IT's hard. I knew it would be hard. ITS HARD ENOUGH YOU VINDICTIVE BITCH! DONT PUT GOD DAMN TRICK QUESTIONS ON THE DAMN EXAM. As a result, I made a 69%. Did I mention I did the tax problem PERFECTLY?!?!?! A whole 35 points of the exam was to fill out a tax form, which I did. The other 65 was multiple choice, with about 10 of them being trick questions.

WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU DO THIS DO US?!?!

For example, a question asked how much Bob would deduct above the line. Easy enough. The trick part came when she had a TYPO on one of the items, and counted it wrong because "everything must be perfect on a tax preparers form. Typos do not count. TEE HEE". >:/

    RAEG.

I'd be forgiving though, if I was actually learning something.. I'm not. Most of my homework is solved straight from the Federal Tax Code that's available online, and a book my office I work at gave me. THE IRS IS MORE CLEAR THAN THIS LADY. WHAT THE FRONT DOOR?!

Management: ACtually, I don't have anything to complain about with this class. The only thing I want to bitch about is that the teacher doesn't give us anything, and I'd really like to get an A in this class already and be done with it.

Intermediate Accounting: My Godsend. An actually intelligent man that knows how to give PROPER tests. NIce man that actually helps us. I have a chance of getting an A in this class.

Western Civilization: I love this woman. I love this class. It's not easy to memorize the material and learn from it, but DAMN DO I LOVE IT. Her tests are what they should be. A test over the knowledge provided to us through instruction and reading.

Why can't professors get it through their corrupt minds?

Tests do not have to be overly difficult. Simply giving us an examination to prove we know the material will suffice. Essay/math portions to test our understanding of how to use said knowledge is also fine.

Asking pointless questions that have no valid meaning to the subject, or putting trick questions into the exam is not a good test. If anything, you confuse us and then expect us to understand it through reversed logic?

  • B is for Best Wishes & Other Crap 2010-09-26 13:51:31 Best Wishes first two episodes was pretty awesome. :D I loved the first two episodes.

Meanwhile, Halo Reach was ok. Nothing revolutionary, but still pretty fun.

It's just the contest version I finished for a few contests [and one here on campus's anime club]. The org version might get a little more polish. I'll decide between now and next weekend if I want to put a tad more effort into it. School's so nuts now, however, that I don't know when I'll have time to actually do more into it.

Anyway, enjoy and let me know what ya'll thought about it! You can comment on youtube or shoot me a pm about it. ;)

    Thanks & enjoy! :D

  • F is for Federal Taxes 2010-09-22 22:56:07 Unless you're a massive masochist, don't be an accounting major.

Unless you have a sincere passion for numbers, don't be an accounting major.

Unless you have an excellent reason and a PROMISED position after graduation, don't be an accounting major.

Unless you need a large sum of money that will give you a comfortable life with *relatively* easy means of aquiring it, don't be an accounting major.

Unless you enjoy listening to CNN debates and financial reports on MSNBC, don't be an accounting major.

Unless you don't have anything but 6 hours a night of free time that you'd enjoy slaving over books and math, don't be an accounting major.

Apparently, I am all of these things, or I have a severe mental defect.

    Because I'm an accounting major.

And I'm taking federal taxes and have my first big test tomorrow.

May God have mercy upon my soul.
