FUn fact for you guys:
It takes longer than 5 hours to do a tax return, e-file it and have everything properly done when you have an S-Corp or business.
Some dipshit waltzes in the office today, hands over their papers nearly 3 weeks late and expects her return in the next hour. When we explained it was not possible [all the staff accountants that can legally sign the prepared form had left for the day, since the deadline was in 2 hours, and they'd finished all the last minute filings].
I explained I could prepare her form for her, and then she can pick it up tomorrow and pay a late penalty fee, ect ect. BITCH GOES CRAZY.
Here I thought Accounting wouldn't have drama/stress. Picture one of those fights on the New Housewives of __________, and that's essentially what went down in our office. I didn't yell or anything, I just kind of sat in my chair and dialed our staff director.
I'm just a staff accountant. Don't yell at me. ;_______;
Anyway, the secretary called our boss, got her to talk to him, got our boss yelled at, and we lost a client. A very wealthy client.
My boss calls me [GULP], and I'm expecting to be fired over this.
I'm directly quoting him on this too.
"Sorry about that. We get a lot of dipshits in thls line of business. Don't take it personally, none of us liked dealing with her anyway. Keep it up, you're doing a great job"
