  • Shit... My Hometown is virtually gone... 2008-02-05 19:46:33 Today, in Arkansas, we had our "equivenlent" of Hurricane Katrina.

    My hometown is all but destroyed. Several tornados ripped through our town (as well as neighboring counties), destroying and causing a lot of damage. So far, I know 4 people that have died (that I was close to).

    My house was spared (I live on the mountain-part), but my aunt and uncle's house and neighborhood is gone. I mean, totally gone. There is nothing but debris left.

    We weren't the hardest hit though. Local towns throughout the entire state of Arkansas have stated that absolute destruction has taken place. Some large shelter actually collapsed, and has trapped a large number of people under rubble and debris.

    The fatality count is unconfirmed.

    I post this only because I wish for you all to pray for us. There sure are a lot of people that need a miricle right now. :_(

    It really sucks.

    Due to the fact that I just now got power back (with dial-up) Clow's Collection will be delayed for a while. We probably won't get power back for a day or two at my work.

    Anywhoo, school today has been a mixture of aggrivation and hatred. I've got God on my side, so things are going to be fine, but I'm just frustrated with a lot of people right now. I pray for them and their high school drama to go away.

    Bleck.

    I'm also quite annoyed with myself. Here I have vowed to be less co-dependent, and yet here I find myself falling slowly back into my old habits. But I'm trying to straigten myself up. I also hate the fact that I have yet to change my personality. I'm trying to be less judgemental of others, and try to be a good person on the inside and try not to be an immature idiot, yet here I find myself getting angry and yelling over the stupidest things.

    My parents aren't helping things much either. I'll go out and say it. My parents are racist. They are also reliougist and sexist. How I turned out to be a normal person I will never know. Just the other day, they were demening Barrack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Obama because his father was a musluim, and Clinton because she was a woman. I can't wait to move out. I hate people that opress other people. Especially people that discriminate and harrass other people.

    I'm reading a ton of new and really good books (thanks donators forum!), and I have found a ton of new authors. I'm spenidn g alot of my time and effor to get as much knowlege as I can in.

    I'm also reading a dummy's guide to surviving your frehmen year in college. Any tips would be much appriciated! :O

    I'm also about to start a new work schedule, in order to make more money for college. I have full-ride, but books and food will probably start to add up.

    I wasted my entire day today.

    The only thing I did was pick up my room (twas a mess) and stalk deviantart for about 10 hours. :O

    Oh, and I caught up on my DVR'ed crap.

    I attempted to tinkle with my current AMV project, but lost all inspiration and desire to do so after ten minutes of attempted a digital effect that didn't look totally cheesy. X_X

    I also tried to do some more work on XX: MTEC Intro, which I failed to do so, since I'm still missing several segments. *points fingers at evil lazy people*

  • Unequiviocally A Wasteful Day? 2008-02-02 22:40:20 Well, today was kind of a wasted day in my opinion. I watched my grandparents dogs and got high speed internet all day. And yet... I still have yet to acomplish a single opinion on a single video I owe. However, I am *hoping* to download them tomorrow afternoon when I go to work. At the same time, I am hoping to be uploading the second beta version of Clow's Collection.

    I finally finished exporting it last night (you should have seen the file size and render rate). I'm going to leave it encoding to MP4 as I go to sleep, and I hope it is done before I leave for church tomorrow. That way, I can upload it tomorrow morning when I head to work. If not, then it will be pushed back to Tuesday-Wednesday. *Sigh* Such annoyances....

    My current AMV's basic track is about 75 percent done now. I'm going back after laying the original track and taking my first shot at digital effects. I might even try my hand at some rotoscoping. I haven't decided everything yet, so it will probably be another month before I'm even remotly ready for the first beta. ^_^

    I'm still waiting on a few tracks for the XX:MTEC intro, but I have started actually incorporating the new footage. I've got a new really interesting text now. Hopefully, this one will meet the standards. I think it would safe to say that this intro is the best work AMV-wise I've ever done. ^_^

    I just signed up for FMV 2. I don't know if I regret it or not, as ripping video game footage is turning out to be a tremendous pain in the royal ass. -_-

    Damn PS1 guides are all but useless. I get footage, but the footage is really crappy. -_-

    *sigh*

    I might end up using some sort of capture card after all. X_X

    I'm really quite unstressed at the moment. Most of my difficult organizations are over now, so all I have left are about 4 months of school, then I'm heading off to the lovely dorm life and college. ^_^
