Ahh.. Sunday...
2008-02-10 19:20:45
Well, another nice day indeed. I spent about 2 hours studying avisynth, only to result to begging for assistance. X_X But I did learn. THat's what's important right?
@Judge: I haven't noticed it as much as I did about a couple of months ago. I do agree with you though. Sometimes I feel bad critiquing other peoples videos, when I know that my editing style is far from perfect. :_(
@Kev: I feel your pain. Clow's collection has driven far too many nails in my skull.... X_X

Well, I'm actually pretty satisfyed with the current flow of videos out at the moment. Some are amazing, others are mediocre, but I haven't seen a noobtube video in quite some time. I'm pleased. ^_^

I'd like to thank Quot and Karido for the help on the Avisynth forum. Thanks! ^_^

Ah... Freedom...
2008-02-09 13:40:48
Today is going to be nice. I've got an entire Saturday off from work, so I'm going to sleep and read and listen to music all day. At about three-four I plan on doing some much needed cleaning. X_X

Everything is fine around here now. Actually, yesterday I got a phone call at the newspaper (where I work) from a family 100 miles away, with homework from the little girl that got killed here. The tornado carried their possession to this other person's farm nearly 100 miles away. Crazy... Anyway, when I told her that family had passed away, she started crying on the phone. Anyway, I had about a 2 hour interview with her, and I'll have one of my very first front page stories published next week! WEWT! ^_^
And ALL the families in the immdiate area are now in the care of either FEMA, the Red Cross or in an apartment/hotel. Again, thanks to everyone that gave us their prayers/hearts.

My Karas AMV is now on hold indefinitly. I just lost all inspiration, and I don't want to just "push one out". Plus, I'm really in love with this one. It's not like my usual genre, so I want this one to be good. ^_^

A Really Sucky Day, Yet Surprising Better Now
2008-02-08 19:39:57
Today kind of sucked for me. Today is my day as secretary at the newspaper where I work at, and the phones rang off the hook incesently. Mostly people trying to find out information about the storm and junk, but I've now got a huge headache (as well as a column to finish. X_X
On that same note, I would like to thank everyone on the site that kept me in their prrayers/memories. I was going through the pm's, and I'm so greatful for the great kindness the members expressed. It really meant a lot guys! ^_^'
My Karas video is at a tad bit of a standstill due to lack of inspiration. Maybeh I'll get off my lazy duff and do something else I need to do.

Normalilty has all been restored?
2008-02-07 19:32:39
Well, with the exception of the various families still having trouble with insurance people, almost everyone hit by the storm have picked up their lives and moved into various apartements and/or hotels. Most of the debris has been removed/repaired, so everything should be fine.
Today was college day at school, so I went to my college. I think I about cried when my parents were required to stay while I talked to the admissions people. That was the first time I every had any say in anything. I got to set my major for the next fall, as well as pick my dorm. So, instead of the pre-law or something else my parents have always wanted me to do, I'm actually going to fufuill my dream and get into the video industry. I'm going to major in Broadcast Journalism (minoring in Print Journalism), and live in the dorm I want to live in.
The people there were so nice and so kind to me. Even the RA's that gave me tours treated me well. Not to mention the broadcast students. The Dean of that department invited me and two other students to stay and look at the television show the broadcast (it's a local news station and radio station) 8 times a week.
Needless to say, things are going great for me. ^_^

Everything Is fine...
2008-02-06 15:06:51
Thank the good Lord that the military actually (for once) did something right. The National Gaurd rolled in at about 6 this morning and did a fantastic job of setting up shelters and rescuing trapped people.
I worked at my church, helping set it up as a shelter, and I just got home. Everyone is fine now, and we're pretty sure that my area should be back to normal by tonight. Power will also be restored here in about 2-3 hours for the houses without power. Yay! ^_^
My aunt and uncle's house is gone, but they've already gone through the rubble and grabbed what they could salvage (which was actually a lot, figuratively speaking), and have checked into a hotel. They're going apartment shopping tomorrow, until they can get their finances in order to begin reconstruction of their home.
Other people around my communitty have offered up their homes for those who have less than gorgeous finanacals. I love my town. ^_^
School starts back up tomorrow, instead of the whole week as originally thought. I think that's a good thing too. It's important that things start to get back to normal.
Thanks for Radical_Yue and Servo for the wonderful PM's. ^_^
Meh is going to update some posts and hit the bed. I esh tired. X_X
