Y is for Yay

I move out tomorrow morning. *applause*
I've been stuffing boxes full of my crap since about 9 this morning. I've just about got everything done, but I decided to take a lunch/internet break. It's going to be such a pain in the butt moving that microwave and fridge. And my computer junk. And my trunk. Basically everything is going to be a pain to move. Except my laptop. That's just a small messenger bag. :O
My mother is still kind of sad about it all. So is my sister. Whatever. I'm not leaving them. I live within a 15-30 minute drive from home. It wouldn't be hard for me to pop back home. Besides the fact that I have church on Sundays, and have to come home for that anyway. :O
I keep finding myself writing down more things in my master list to check off tomorrow morning. Until about an hour ago, I had forgotten to add my television to the list. O_o Oh, and I almost forgot my Xbox360.
Any moving tips would be greatly appreciated. I've got the whole "less is more" idealism in mind, and I'm only taking stuff that I absolutely need, and keeping everything else home in dah new storage room that used to be my room.
*goes back to packing*

M is for Mom

Oh. My. Gosh. I'm shocked!
My mother has been begging me for about an hour now for me not to move out and to come home every other night. O_O
I kindly told her no. Perhaps it was the memories of her harrassing me about everyting, her nagging me about everything I do, her desire to rule every aspect of my life, or her wanting to be part of every bit of my life or her wanting to do every little thing for me or the fact that she's annoying as heck, but I politely told her no.
She kind of freaked out then... Telling me how ungrateful I was, and what a spoiled brat I was. O_O
Seriously, this came out of left field for me. :O

I love the after-con rush of videos. :)

Blug. 3 more days! The minutes are passing like hours.
Also, any fear of moving out has long since subsided, considering how awful my parents and sister are being right now. :O

W is for Week
2008-08-09 16:31:00
One week. Just one more week until move out day. :) I'm really looking forward to this. I think anyway. For some reason or another, I get these hour long sessions where I actually get scared of moving out and living on my own. :O Oh well, at least I'm happy that my roomate and I've been talking with him. He seems like a good guy and all. :)
I've got not much else to say. Everything is really just staying the same for me here. At least the weather is getting cooler here. It's about 90 degrees. I know that's warm, but we've been used to 106-110 degree weather around here lately. It's fecking winter breeze to us. Lol.

P is for Pissed

Ok, so I was supposed to be off by 2:30, with plenty of time to go to my college and do some last minute things (get a book I missed, get my parking permit, blah blah blah), and have time to clean my house before my mother got home. It's nearly 4 o'clock, and my boss still hasn't shown up. This isn't what I signed up for. >_> Now it's too late, since my college offices close at 4. >:( And my mom's going to be mad, cuz I didn't clean the room today.
Oh well, more pay for me I guess. :O ( I need monies. Books are expensive, and my college fees (300 bucks) are due by the 11th).
Seriously though, I've had a ton of people come into the newspaper office today. All of them horribly picky about ads and phrasing. Ugh. I did have a few good ones though. They just dropped off what they wanted done, and walked right back out. I love those guys. ^_^
Phone's been ringing NONSTOP! That's normal though. Although every time the "storm" would come through, I'd have to put like 3-4 people on hold, and then they'd have an attitude when I actually got to talk to them. Doesn't help I'm the only one working today.
Enough ranting though. As annoying as some of the people are, I geniunely LOVE this job. It's wonderful experience if I ever go into journalism, and the pay's pretty good.
The Good: I lub my job. <3
The Bad: Didn't get off work when I though I was
The Ugly: Annoying people and annoying phone calls.
