B is for Beta
2009-11-13 18:19:44
I found a beta of a VERY old AMV of mine back when I first started editing and when I was using WMM. Thought I'd lost it, but now I'm thinking I should pick it back up.
Of course I'd have to get all the clips again, and match up everything similarly, but I think it's a great starting point. Now just to get some testers. =O

I got booed during my presentation. =/
So I supported the multi-billion dollar corporations in the pharmacutical industry! Does that make me the incarnation of Satan!?!
Well, yes, it actually does, but I drew the short straw when we got assigned our topics, get off my back! xD

O is for Office
2009-11-10 19:07:59
Just got home and thought I would share another one of my economic friendly advice tips today.
[Pretty much copy and pasted from the article I wrote for the business paper]
A woman walked in today, and she owned 2 businesses. Both of them were doing very well, but she still had a great deal of personal debt. I was once again in human resources today, so I looked over her account and started asking the usual questions. I then saw a bazooka full of credit card bills, all virtually maxed out.
"Excuse me miss, but where are your bank statements?"
"Oh I don't trust banks. I just use credit cards and keep everything else in cash in a box under my matress."
The woman had been charging her credit cards for EVERYTHING. trips to McDonalds, trips to Wal-Mart... Everything was charged for on credit cards and paid bill wise with cash.
And here's the kicker. It's not like she didn't have the money to pay for this stuff. She still has a butt-load of cash in her "secret box" she keeps under her mattress. She just makes minimum payments each month, but it's not helping to combat the debt.
Economic Lesson of the day: Don't ever use credit cards unless you absolutely MUST. You'll be paying intrest for years after you paid off the item in question. The usual credit intrest rate is at 23%. ouch.
Also, If you don't like carrying around cash, a checking account is the best way to transfer money with debit cards. Granted, its much easier to go through funds this way because you don't physically see the money pent, so be wary!
If you are fearful of banks, realize that the FDIC promises to reimburse you of up to $200,000 per account, should your bank go under. It may take a few weeks, but it is guaranteed at member banks. So always make sure your bank has "Member FDIC" on its sign!

C is for Carpeting
2009-11-10 16:20:27
Just got a phone call. We're getting new carpeting in my part of the house. Shag carpeting.
O_o
I'm all for new carpeting, but I'm hoping the shag doesn't cause me to static discharge on my computer and it go up in flames. xD
Oh, and because of that, I'm having to move all the furniture out of my room. Several of my pieces are very HEAVY. =(
