  • Urusei Yatsura AMV prgress 2006-03-03 17:09:28 in three days I have gotten 1 min and 23 secs of the song Alien Revenge done. I am thinking of cranking out a IY AMV to keep y'all occupied but then I remembered that I am not the only one here. And I am thinking of combining all the other AMV's I have done into this one. make one big one. Ranma, IY, IY, IY, UY ha ha. Not yet though.
  • Tips for Submitting some AMV's to me for opining 2006-03-01 15:43:50 I understand the work involed but understand the styles of music I have listened to for the longest. list is in order from longest listened to, to least listened to

    Classical (including modern contemporary)
    Metal
    Jazz/Blues
    Classic Rock
    Gangster Swing
    Alt Rock
    Country
    Hip Hop/Rap
    Gangsta Rap

I have heard it all and from what I have heard the hardest style of music for anyone to use in a AMV is going to be Classical or Classical styled. There are a lot of subtle nuances and accents cascading notes and from what I have learned so far you gotta really try and synch the anime to those points. Listen to Mahler's 2nd you'll understand or even better the FireBird suite. Ususally what makes it difficult is that it will get quiet in the middle (and these pieces usually last hours) and then explode out of no where, and with no advanced warning. (unlike metal where the explosive guitar solos usually have a lead in and lead out)

If you choose a classical style I wil judge your AMV the strictest but most constructive.
  • 2006-03-01 13:56:07 Today (well earlier an d around 2:30 AM) I found out you cansplit music into clips as well in windows Movie Maker which splitting it into sections in time with the lyrics (still unsure as to what I am gonna do for the solo(s)) But in amv suggestions I have the clip of the solo, or link to it anyway

I just need ideas for scenes. I am in the compile phase right know so every thing is go for change until I export the video. Which I wion't change the vid until I combine them all into a zip or one HUGE file
  • About Opinions 2006-03-01 00:36:10 I appreciate any and all honest opinions and do give such I do my best to keep an open mind about music choices by judging the quality of reciept and other things. I believe it is good to give opinions.

Also don't be dismayed if I don't run out and fix the problems rightaway. I like to better my self each time so what I am going to do is keep a list of things to work on and as most can see from the hits on my vids since coming here I have been improving. It is just too bad I didn't recieve well thought out opinions until I was already done with the next vid. but thanks to Shadow Nos I have some thing to work with while I am compiling footage for my next project thanks all and hope you like the next one better; as I don't have very much footage to really work with but will do what I can with what I got.
