  • Christmas 2006-12-25 21:05:50 Lots of good presents this year:

I feel like the world collectively gave me the last episode of NHK and Haruhi being licensed as presents. That's been awesome.

I also got 2 external drives. That's right. 2. Because my dad and my stepmom don't communicate very well. Don't know what I'm gonna do with 2, but now I have 460 gigs of space. Yay!!! Now I can actually transfer footage between my computers with relative ease.

Hee hee, plus I got a bunch of anime. Yay!!!

And I sent my friend a billion x-mas pics last night as an early present, since I don't know when I'll get to give her the real present.

But today has been actually kinda boring, 'cause I feel bad watching my anime, even though everybody else just goes and plays with thier presents.

    Happy Holidays, world!
  • Home for the Holidays 2006-12-16 01:15:57 First off, I don't really want to rant, because that usually just makes me angrier and then I find even more things to be angry about.

I rode my horse yesterday. He was AMAZING! I just rode in a halter and we went over poles and counter cantered and did a lead change. That's all relatively hard to do when you're riding bareback, but he was perfect. I love my horse to death. It was pretty awesome.

I crashed my high school's anime club today. It was amazingly fun, 'cause I got to see all my anime friends who are also in college now, and one of my best friends and I took over and hooked up my computer so we could make them watch totally new stuff. Plus, just seeing all the people I haven't seen since NDK and the new freshmen in the club was pretty sweet.

My tv-hating-movie-hating-fun-hating dad spent $300+ dollars on DVDs from Amazon. Mostly on obscure tv shows or historical movies or James Bond movies though. I would have been more excited if I thought he was finally had started to accept movies, but he's just buying things because he's mad that my stepmom took all of the DVDS with her when she left (they were all hers).

I've been making my stepmom watch random anime the past couple nights. I made her watch an episode of Bleach and the first few episodes of REC, which she actually managed to stay awake for. She always promises to stay awake and pay attention and then never does. She doesn't keep most of her promises. But I really want her to watch Pale Cocoon and Beyond the Clouds, but I don't know if I can keep her up for those.

My dad has a way of ruining pretty much everything. He can be ok sometimes, for example, I adore my computer, which he pretty much found and bought for me. But really, I have almost everything I want for Christmas (except for a calendar, but if people get me another horse or kitty claendar, I will kill them). I pretty much just want my dad and my stepmom to shut up for long enough for me to be able to actually do anything with them. Actually, that's not totally true. I want them to stop fighting so I can chill with my stepmom. Hanging out with my dad would be pointless because he ridicules almost everything I do. But really, them not making me uncomfortable about whether or not they are going to stay married and live in the same house would be really nice.

Oh well. We'll see how it goes. You'd think I'd know by now not to get my hopes up.
  • It's going to be a long night... 2006-12-13 00:59:09 I'm writing my last paper of the semester - on analytical and imaginative detection in Kurosawa's film Stray Dog. It's hard to cite movies you've only seen once in class, so I'm afraid it's going to be short again. I also have several loads of laundry to do and I have to pack. I have to leave for the airport a little before 4 in the morning. I don't know how I'm going to get everything into one bag, which is all I have. It's either bring my computers and DVDs or bring clothes. I really had intended to use the break to finally fingure out my mac and maybe finish some of the anime that people keep lending me. I calculated how much I'm supposed to have finished. If I watch about 13 episodes a day, maybe I could finish it all. My friends need to wait for me to finish one thing before lending me another. I also have to get cash so I can pay for the shuttle in the morning. Ahh... so much to do. I'm tired from finals too.
  • Discoveries 2006-12-09 19:12:33 I have discovered:

I like to have blue-ish wallpapers, however if I do, I am like a billion times more likely to fall asleep at my computer. Guess I'll have to stick with the red one I've had for a while.

Fillers are evil. I know. I should have discovered this a while ago, but I maintain: not ALL fillers are bad. Sometimes they are rather entertaining. And sometimes they provide hilarious screencaps. But really - when they totally violate the world of the story - why?

I have no self control. Oh, wait I knew that. It's the second week of finals, you think I could take a break from what I'm watching and actually study. But I haven't had to work to do well in school for years, and it's hard to start up again.

When something says EXTREMELY PERISHABLE you should put it in the fridge or you will get sick after you drink it.

    Hmmm.... I think that's all.
  • I am high on Bleach 2006-12-07 02:26:07 and a Rockstar (super energy drink) and lack of sleep.

Actually, my eyes really hurt from staring at the computer all day and my head hurts from aforementioned lack of sleep.

But I am at peace. Because at least one of my classes is officially over. Yay. Doesn't my face just radiate enthusiasm?

    Hahaha!
