    Iīm going to make a sign for the next peace demonstration that says: MAKE ANIME NOT WAR! Iīm not kidding about this. There were 20,000 people at the peace march on Saturday at least thatīs what the news said. It lasted about two hours. We had this group of 14 people and we even made ourselves a sign (sorry for not knowing any better word for this one) with a sheet, two sticks and some safety-pins. It said ?Loppu sodalle!? which means ?Stop the war!? We even learned why all those signs have holes in them. Without the holes the signs will be like sails and it was a windy day. Our sign ended up going to one television show as studio back ground. Lol

    There was a lot of shouting of slogans. To mention few:
    - George Bush, we know you, your daddy was a killer too!
    - One, two, three, we donīt want your fucking war! Four, five, six, stop the killing stop the hate!
    - Mitä me tehdään? Lopetetaan sota! Milloin? Nyt! Milloin? Nyt! Milloin milloin? Nyt nyt nyt!!!
    (in english: What are we going to do? End the war! When? Now! When? Now! When when? Now now now!!!)
    - Oikeutta ei pommeja!
    (in english: Justice not bombs!)

    The last time I was in a demonstration was on last spring and that one was against the plans to build a new nuclear power plant. There were over 10,000 people there which is a lot of people when you consider that there are only 5 million people living in Finland. What good did that demonstration do to us. Not much since weīre getting that fifth nuclear power plant anyway and weīre probably the only western country which is building and not disassembling their power plants. Politics suck. = (

    I installed VirtualDub today and Iīm downloading AMVApp right now. =D I also tried to download DVDRipper, but the link refused to work. Exact Audio Copy on the other hand was only a beta version and it said to only download if youīre a ?experienced user? so that was a no go for me. I donīt want my HD to be eaten if I canīt use the program properly.

    The funny thing is that all this downloading started because I couldnīt use the CDDB function in my MusicMatch *shakes fist towards LAN*. Itīs still not working and I have to write the song names all by myself. Oh the pain. On a happier note my Opera is finally amv.org friendly which means that I can finally log in with it. Donīt know what I did to make it work, but Iīm not complaining *hugs Opera*.

    TO HAKURA: Happy birthday Hakura! I know Iīm a day too early, but I wont have time to post tomorrow. She probably doesnīt read my journal, but that doesnīt matter.

    My journal has 92 hits! Weīll reach 100 whit this entry people. Iīve been a member for less than two months and I already have 92 hits. Iīm addicted to writing in my journal. X_X Iīd say that about 1-4 people have me in their buddy list. I think so because the hits always grew with four in the beginning and now they grow with eight more hits every time. So about four people check your journal when they can see your name on the Most Recent Journal Entries -list on the Member page. I have more than 30 people in my buddy list. Honestly it takes a lot more time to write an entry than to check your buddy list everyday for new entries.

    OK! Iīm off to fetch my ticket to the Red Hot Chili Peppers concert which is on Monday from my mailbox (long story). I wonder if I could walk the few meters there in my pyjamas. Probably not since itīs cold outside. 
  • Escaflowne and peace (I know it´s a weird topic) 2003-03-22 04:20:33 I donīt have much time to write right now so Iīll make it short. Is that cheering Iīm hearing ...must be just my imagination. ~_^ I going to a demonstration /march for peace later today. Yes Iīm a pacifist at least to some extend. Iīm just too realistic and pessimistic to believe in such a thing as world peace : ( I also want to point out that Iīm not in any way supporting Iraq by marching for peace.

    I just watched almost all of ESCAFLOWNE yesterday. It made a big impact on me. Iīm almost speechless. Iīll be putting that series to place 2. in my TOP 10 Anime list (later on).

    I admire Folcen because heīs a pacifist. It takes a lot of courage to put down your arms and just be at others mercy. Heīs wings are sugoi! The wings in ESCAFLOWNE in general give really nice chills every time they come out. ~_~

    Dilandau is the craziest bad *cough* guy *cough* that Iīve seen in a anime. I had a totally different idea of him before I saw the show. I didnīt realize that he was so young.

    I also even like the main character Hitomi *gasp*. Her power is awesome. I guess Iīm just a sucker for such things, but girls are entitled to such opinions. ^^

    Allen or Van... umm... I donīt know. I like them both. I want to see the two last episodes so bad *whine*. In some of the episodes there wasnīt subtitles in every other sentence. That made it kinda hard to follow the plot since I donīt speak japanese. So they were *cough* downloaded *cough*. I seriously thinking of buying this series. Itīs just so hard (impossible) to find any anime in Finland. I have to figure out the whole ordering from the USA thing. So much for boycotting products from USA. Iīd have to boycott this site too and thatīs not going to happen. Oh well, like it would have made any difference anyway. But I can still boycott Coca-Cola ^_^

    Thereīs much more that I would like to say about ESCAFLOWNE, but times up.

    I also downloaded Zarxrax`s The Fancervice Video: Bouncing Back for More. It was one of the videos that was accidentally deleted (see journal entry from January). Now I have it again ^_^ AND I now know what fan service means. Lots of words are kinda difficult to understand. Iīll make a nice list some time later.

    Now youīre all wondering if this is what I mean by short. lol You should see when I write a long story. DOOM doom... 
  • The different stages of coldness 2003-03-20 00:39:56 This is a theory that I invented one winter day when it was 30 degress below zero and I was waiting at the bus station for my bus, which was 20 minutes late. At that time I went through the stages from one to four. I had already forgotten all about it, but it came back to mind today when I hit stage one first time in about a month.

    The different stages of coldness:
    1. You feel cold.
    2. You get goose flesh all over your body.
    3. You start to shake all over and you canīt controll it.
    4. You canīt feel some part of your body anymore (for examble toes).
    5. Your lips turn to nice shade of blue.
    6. Some parts of your body get gangrene.
    7. You die.

    I canīt really be sure about the stages after five because Iīve never experienced them myself. -_- But believe me, that when you hit stage four itīs time to go someplace warm.

    I īll be hopefully getting tickets to Red Hot Chili Peppersī live consert which is on Monday. Itīs sold out already, but one of my motherīs friends is selling her ticket so of course Iīm buying it. I was on their last concert here in Finland on 1999 and it was one of the best gigs Iīve ever been to. It is a shame that thereīs only one ticket, because Iīm sure one of my friends would have wanted to come also.

    I have to skip half of my orchestra rehearsals to be able to go there. I feel a bit bad about it since we have an important concert coming up and Iīm responciple for the viola section. Oh well, Iīll make it up by practicing on my own.

  • Joined another forum today 2003-03-18 14:09:23 The parliament elections are over and the candidate that I decided to vote for in the last hour wasnīt selected. = ( Itīs no big deal since voting isnīt about winning or losing. The outcome of the whole election was a bit unexpected at least for me, but since Finland is such a small country and people arenīt interested in politics anyway I wonīt bore you with the details.

    I joined one of my friends forum today. Itīs in finnish, but hereīs the address anyway http://kashyyk.leesio.org/forum/index.php He just opened it today so itīs kinda empty still. My sell number there is 5! lol He even made me one of the dungeon masters, which means in this case a moderator. I can moderate three of the forums rooms. Joy. I already made like seven posts there today when I have made a total of two posts in the orgīs forum. Arenīt I the forum maniac =^)

    I even made myself an avatar there, but I donīt wanīt to use that one here since I have an idea for a much better avatar. I just have to learn to make screen shots of anime on my computer first. And yes I do know where the screen shot button is in the keyboard. The problem is a bit more complicated than that.

    Grekon666 came over to show me his latest and fourth video so far.
    Anime: Vampire Hunter D
    Artist/Song: 96 Quite Better Beings (donīt know which one it is)
    It was quite good and the song fitted the anime well. There was some good action/editing/lip sync going on. I especially liked the ending. The video quality still needs some work. I think that there is something wrong with the coding or something like that. And thereīs no subtitles! This seems to be such a big issue for some people. ^^ It isnīt online yet. Have patience people.

    Our studio that me and Grekon have been planning for the past two months apparently may gain a fourth member. Heīs one of Grekonīs friends from school and I donīt know nothing much about him except that he has a lot of hentai so heīs probably going to be responsible for the ecchi part of our studio X_X Grekon does the metal songs/action videos and Simpi who is also wanting to join our studio is responsible for the ... for the... pop songs. What does that leave me. Maybe the drama/humor section all though I donīt think that I can claim the humor section entirely for myself and besides my first videoīs going to be an action/character profile so...

    Itīs 10 pm and Iīm off to bed because Iīve been so tired the past few days that I need the extra sleep ZZZZZzzzzzz 
  • Only crazy people do two review of the almost same video 2003-03-16 07:31:28 So yeah, you can call me crazy now since I actually did 3 review of Fluxmeisterīs Ninja Girl video. One for the original version WHICH HE SO GRACIOUSLY PUT ONLINE FOR ME and edited the Ninja Girl (version 2) review that I had posted in the wrong place. My usefulness as an opinioner just rose from something a bit over 200 with 8 opinions to 425,8 with 9 opinions! Go figure.

    To quote my own review: “I actually got so excited that I played both videos at the same time. The other one was on Windows Media Player and the other one on RealOne Player. It was really easy to see what you had changed this way. Then I searched the net for the lyrics of the song and placed them also on my desktop. Oh man, I had so much fun! Lololol”

    You really should try that people. I recommend it!

    I chatted with Fluxmeister for three hours yesterday! I had a great time! You donīt know how much courage it took for me to contact him. Iīm quite shy and quiet in real life. Youīd never guess that Iīm quiet judging from my journal entries. Iīm just able to relax and be more myself online. I wonder what happens to the people who are talkative in real life >_<

    Anyway Fluxmeister was really nice to me. He even helped me with my profile. I didnīt know the english translation of näytönohjain. It means video card. He also told that lol means lots of laughter. Nobodyīs bothered to tell me that before. Thank you Tim!

    I updated my home page with some more cat pictures. Hope you enjoy http://koti.mbnet.fi/orasi/ . Fluxmeister seemed to enjoy them ^^ Also deleted the pictures of me that shouldnīt be there. I went a bit berserk after I found out that my little brother had put them online with the rest of the pictures. I donīt want my pictures on the net since looks shouldīt matter here.

    What I should be doing now, instead of writing in my journal and chatting in the orgīs AIM chat room, is try to decide who to vote in the parliament election today here in Finland. I have absolutely no idea who to vote. I still have four hours time to decide so Iīm off to surf the net for politics. See yīall later.
