"Boy, What a Blend" is Fixed! Yay!

The mods here are absolutely wonderful! I really appreciate their help. Though I do feel bad for the effort going towards such a mediocre video. Even so, it's something I created, so it's special to me.
In fact, I received a QC about it yesterday, which has me a bit stumped.
"Very cool choice of song, but the video as a whole didn't appeal to me since there didn't seem to be much but glancing correlation to the music and anime together. "
I understand that the video didn't appeal to the person. No matter how good or bad a video is, there are some things that make it appealing or unappealing to different people. Heck, even I didn't much care for "AMV Hell: The Movie", and that's a very popular AMV.
Even though I understand what the person wrote, I just can't quite figure out the "what"s and "why"s to make it better. It was a lyrical video, so the intention was correlating the lyrics to the anime. From what the QC stated, it seems the video barely achieved that. Unless I poked at too many "in-jokes" or didn't allow much time for the picture to mirror what the lyric hinted at....
My lack of experience really puts a kabosh on trying to correct things artistically. I guess I'm going to have to keep up with that end of the trial and error process. Gee, it's so much easier to go to a guide and know what was done wrong technically, but it's so much harder to try and figure out how to make something enjoyable. Oh well, I could ruminate over this until I fill my journal with endless babble.

Inconceivable: "a few subs in there, but for the most part it was really cute :) makes me kinda want to see the series :)"
I left those subs in there on purpose, for humor's sake, but...hm...if they're not going to help the humor much, then I can see the reason in leaving them out completly. (I don't much cater to subtitles in AMVs myself.) You should see the series, if only a little bit of it (it's a long one--170+ episodes)! I've never been much into sports anime, but this one reeled me in, though I still haven't seen all of it yet. I don't know if the US is ever going to lisence it (the US opted for the other loooong running hit "Naruto" instead of PoT, and I don't really blame them. I've seen Naruto and it's fighting premise has more promise of being a bankable show than a series about tennis.) Ah well, maybe the US will pick up PoT later on.
Ha ha! and here I am going on and on as if this nice QC person will ever read this. Silly me.

- Problem fixed? 2005-12-06 16:24:07 I think the problem with my video is fixed now, but I'm not really sure. Boy, What a Blend has had two attempts at downloading, but I'm not sure if those were made during the problem-solving process or by actual interested viewers. Though it seems the average star rating for that video has gone down by .01 point, so maybe it truly is fixed now? I haven't received a conclusive response from the nice nice mod who is helping me--and I may never receive one--, but I am ever grateful for the mod taking the time to look into the problem.
