I usually write down concept notes and technical notes for the amv projects I do, and I suddenly realized I could save paper and jot these things down here under a private post. ('doh!). I finished doing just that and immediately wanted to tear my hair out. I must've been loitering around on the org too long, because when I pushed the "enter" button for my journal entry, a page came up demanding me to sign in again. I did, and of course my entry was lost in the process. >_<!
argh. Yeah, argh. - and SNL has ended for the night.... 2006-10-29 01:13:34 I wish they would've shown the puppeteers in action instead of hiding them, but it was still very nice to see my friend's work live on tv. ^___^ Luckily I spotted my friend in the SNL curtain call. He looked happy, and that makes me happy too. ^__^

In other news, I almost completely shelved my amv plans for a SoulTaker vid, but then, once again, I listened to the song I wanted to use. Now I'm not completely convinced to give up on the thing. Yes, doing this video would mean having to recreate what I already did on my old computer, but it might be worth it. Too bad my brother destroyed (yes, "destroyed") my old computer. (I'm convinced he stabbed the screen with Aragorn's sword. Geez, I wonder what pissed him off?) I like the song too much to scrap the amv, so I guess it might just get made one of these days.

on a lack of motivation

I've got amv ideas--wel, heck, I've had amv ideas for years before I ever knew how to make them--but, alas, I lack motivation. *sigh*
I make average videos. I want to make something better than the norm.
Sheesh, I should just play with the amv-making toys and see what happens. That's what "they" say you should do when you have writer's block; start writing and see what happens.
I haven't had my "zen" moment with creating amvs. Things "click" when I act and "flow" when I write. Where's the "something" that tells me I'm on the right track with amv creation?
Well golly gee, I guess sitting around moping about it isn't going to get me anywhere. Maybe, after the last of the grape harvest, I'll devote a good period of time at the comp to doing something amv-ish.
And in other (less than good) news, I live near Lancaster and this recent school shooting is terrible.
