I can't remember who first mentioned posting their list of thanks in the journals (it was one of the very nice people--I remember that much!), so I thought I'd also mention my thanks. A very big thank you to animemusicvideos.org for all it has done to help feed my AMV addiction and offering a home for new and experimental creators. Thanks!
Recently my thoughts have taken a route away from working on a new amv. This is very much due to having seen the latest Harry Potter movie, reading the latest Harry Potter novel, and discovering 5 of the cutest boys in Korea's DBSK. Such beautiful smiles! Ah, but I digress. #^_^# I'm also diverted from amv making by the coming holiday and the attack of the visiting nieces. Alas, my time will not be my own for the next 5 days.
I admit I'm a closet journal reader, and I've been a bit distressed to read about the rude/insulting quick comments that some people have received. It's kind of sad to think that people would take more effort to toss insults rather than offer helpful suggestions. I think I'd rather have the next-to-non-existant QCs I've received than the insulting ones other people have been given. I'm going to count my lack of insulting qcs as another thankful thing.
And for everyone else, Happy Thanksgiving! -

Ah, now there's a quote that someone should put on a banner.
I just popped in to find someone had left an OP for "Misfits and Mayhaps". I was shocked, to say the least. I'd never expected an opinion to be left for that video, which I did purely as a fun-spree. I really hadn't put much time or effort into it at all, so I was horribly afraid to read an opinion of it.
I really appreciate nice, constructive critisism. The OP was wonderful, pointing out the errors I had made and giving suggestions for a better video. It was wonderful! Now I wish I had spent more time and effort towards that AMV, so I could feel more worthy of the time and effort the person put into sending me the OP.
And in other news, I successfully burned the Adobe Premiere 6LE from my old computer. Now let's see if it transfers to my new computer without problems. If it does, I'll be a very happy camper, even with the thought that I wasted money on the Premiere Elements that may never be used again. -
custom preset woes with premiere elements

So it seems I can't change my source presets for Adobe Premiere Elements. That super-sucks mega-size if I want to IVTC before I edit.
I suppose I could edit with the interlaced material, but the Premiere method of deinterlacing is pretty ugly. Yuck Blech! And that will not solve my quality issue. argh.
I'm considering trying to figure out how to burn the Adobe Premiere 6LE that was on my old computer and move it to my new comp. It was wonderful that my old comp came with Adobe Premiere 6LE, but the new comp didn't. That's why I bought Adobe Premiere Elements. I wanted 6 again, but the store only sold the latest version, so Elements it was. Argh. It's a good program, except the fact that I can't seem to change presets to work for me. ARGH!!!! I'd hate to think I wasted my money.
I want better quality videos. I really, really do. (now the whining begins.) Can I have it, please? I wanna wanna wanna want it. (she's going to start crying here soon.) Waaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh! (oops, sooner than expected.)
Okay, the silly babble is over. It doesn't help with my problem anyway. *sigh* -

Before the above qc, the only video that had prompted quick comments was my "Misfits and Mishaps", which was in pleasant juxtaposition to being my lowest rated vid. So I'm also very happy for all those who sent the "funny" & "cute" QCs for that.
I didn't want anyone to think I didn't appreciate their QCs. They're muchly appreciated! Thank you!
oops P.S.: I'm forgetting the helpful quick comments about my Saiyuki vid, which let me know there was a problem with downloading the video. Thanks, too, for that!
