I have just made a new video today.
I had a free time since the last two days and so I had decided to do a side project. It's an experimental video based on my idea of using Duran Duran's "Come Undone" on Chrono Cross. I was curious if both could match well. Well....?!
Tell the truth, it was really hard to do the arrangement and lyrical matching, since there were only few of Chrono Cross FMV that could be combined with it, and they're just too short to fit in the whole 4mins of the song. And so I had to recycle a couple of clips, and decrease the speed some clips. It took about 4hours to edit.
After watching it a few times I thought it sucked, the progression was too slow that I got bored in halfway. Oddly enough, I showed it to my roommates and they like it.
Think I better add this to the catalogue as I already done it. To make room for it, I had to remove "Menjalin Kembali" (it was unpopular anyway.) (Hopefully) It'll be up in an hour from now. So, fellas, download the video and tell me what you think. Which part is good and what sucks.

Vulnerable Angel remastered

I've remastered it yesterday. It didn't take long to re-edit it, just about 2hrs, but the rest of the day was spent converting source footage & export. It took 8hrs (5hrs w/o noise reduction) to make an MPEG2 on my PC.
Technically, the new one's helluva lot better. I've made a couple versions and thinking which one should be for distro:
divx3.11a 720x480 = 56MB -- very clear, but need a really fast comp.
divx3.11a 480x360 = 38MB -- still hi-res, but looks just the same as MPEG1
so, which one aaah?
Oh, and the MPEG2 is about 224Megs. Talk about massive filesize! -
"ops warta" postponed for two weeks.

I was rather relieved to hear the local news yesterday.
The police had decided to postpone the warta operation due to complaints from the public. so now we have two weeks of period to settle our traffic summons. I only have one which I havent paid it over a month now, partly because I was broke after I bought a new dvd-rom drive during the last PC-Fair @ PWTC (Putra World Trade Centre.) anyway
The police traffic counter was still overcrowded yesterday, even at places far from KL. I went to the MINES and had stood in the queue for four hours but still couldn't get to the counter until 8am. Stupid them only opened one counter. Talk about productivity.
Think I'm gonna have to early tomorrow. -

Watched Angel Sanctuary again today. Kinda makes me want to re-master my Vulnerable video. I did get quite a few complaints about it.
Well if I plan to redo the video, certain things that I may change:
- place AMV info at the end of it
- re-edit the lens distortion effect near the intro
- and replace inverse transition with something else
- add radial blur or something else ie gradient box bitmap w/ screen transparency to make a flashback.
- add borders to cover ugly lines that appear in certain scenes.
- remove lyrics subtitle, or at least make it less fancy
- re-edit some transitions for smoother progesss
- 'remove' moving lips in certain scenes (but not all, as in some parts the moving lips were crucial for the viewers to understand the character's mood.)
- re-encode in hi-res dvx3.11 or maybe mpeg2
and if I'm satisfied, I might then submit it to mindwarp & con.

How 'bout Chrono Cross + Come Undone (Duran Duran)? I think its melody fits with ocean environment, and colour blue.

Silap aku jugak malam kelmarin aku tak tidur sampai pukul 6 pagi (sebab dok layan football. Ciss! Penat-penat je sorak kat Man.U, last-last diorang kalah peergh!)
Pagi tadi aku terlewat bangun sampai pukul 2 petang. Ingat nak pegi pondok trafik kat MINES nak bayar saman. Sekali memember lain pun baru bangun jugak so aku kena tunggu giliran guna bilik air dulu. Lepas tu pukul 3:30 baru bertolak.
On the way ke Serdang tu jalan jem. Aku terlupa yg 1 Mei ni Hari Pekerja (Labours Day) rupanya. Patut la ramai. Aku tak kisah sangat sebab jem ni pasal aku bawak motor tadi, aku 'mencilok' (potong kereta) je la sampai ke parking lot. Dah masuk kat MINES terkejut aku tengok orang punya la ramai tunggu giliran nak bayar saman, dari hujung kedai komputer sampai ke Reject Shop. Pondok trafik tu bukak dari tengah hari sampai ke 8 malam, dah tu pulak ada satu je kaunter (bengang betul! Orang dah la dekat beribu!) ...So, aku pun ikut beratur la dari pukul 4 sampai ke 8 malam - 4 jam tuu!
Baru je sampai 1/3 jalan dah dekat 7:45 "Alamak, tak sempat le nampaknya" Memang tak sempat pun. Sekali tu staff polis bagi announcement Kaunter polis tutup 5 minit lagi. Apa lagi, semua yang beratur tu pun pakat dok riuh, aku pun join sama (ye la, dah tensen.) Mula2 aku ingat kalau kaunter tu tutup cadang nak merusuh kat pondok tu sampai diorang buat OT (OverTime) ataupun tangguhkan dateline saman berganda, tapi takdak sapa yg nak join, so, aku balik dgn perasaan hampa je lah.
Walaupun tiket saman aku satu je, itu pun salah parking kat BB Plaza, tapi rasa nyesal tak bayar saman awal2. Ada duit dulu ralit nak pegi balai.
Apa-apa hal pun aku harap besok saman aku tak kena ganda lagi. Harap je la.
Itulah sedikit alkisah kehidupan di hari ini (Rabu 1 Mei 2002)
