JOURNAL: Copycat_Revolver

  • Chapter Seven: In which our hero finds himself awash with inspiration. Remarkable! 2007-09-28 13:12:54 (at what point do I run out of adjectives?)

Lately I find myself suffering from a problem that really shouldn't be a problem. It seems like every time I turn around, I have another idea for an amv that I have to do (and I have a swivel chair so I do that a lot). There are videos that I really want to start editing but I keep finding new ways to use the footage I've already got clogging my hard drives. There's not enough time in the day to get these done as fast as I want.
Must finish Flcl vid. Must finish as soon as possible. Then there's three other videos to get done before I can finally start the two Eureka Seven vids I want to do.
...actually, Persona 3 is looking mighty tempting right now. ...Damn!

Now enough of this chainsaw talk, I need to work on my CrackTheSky impersonation and start putting out a video every week.

    ...

    @Melee, concerning his Persona woes:
That's what easy mode is for. Same game with continues, sucka.
Now quit being sick and finish the vids you sort of promised.
  • Chapter Six: In which our hero must report for jury duty. Boring! 2007-09-24 03:06:03 ...but after waiting a few hours I was told I wasn't needed. Hurrah?

And I finally updated my profile...sort of. It's really just my status screen:

And for the sake of being semi-helpful, here's an extremely quick (and harsh) review of a newish anime.

Have you seen "The Third: the girl with the blue eye"? If not, then don't. It is one of the most horrible piles of tripe I have ever born witness to. The story is rediculous (not in the good way) and contrived right from the beginning, complete with bad emo poetry recited by the female lead. The character designs are sloppy and usually out of place while the characters themselves are boring, and after watching two episodes of it I felt the urge to gnash my teeth.
It's like the open sore of anime. If you really must watch it, make sure you have a piece of rawhide to bite down on, you'll thank me later.

    That is all.

    (my birthday is October 3rd...presents?)
  • Chapter Five: In which our hero discovers a disturbing fact about microwave popcorn. Unsettling! 2007-09-10 07:19:20 ...And the people did gather around the prophet. And thus the prophet did spake, "Gather weary ones, gather the tired, the weak. Gather your huddled masses and rejoice, for we have been blessed by a new video from Copycat_Revolver!"
And the people thus spake, "You brought us out here for this? I'm going home."

    New video. Enjoy.

  • Chapter Four: In which our hero accepts defeat gracefully with a minimum of whining. Admirable! 2007-09-07 12:21:36 Well, I've returned from AnimeVegas and my first entry into an AMV contest. No fantastic news, although "Infinite Continues" did place second in the action category. And I lost to...another random Bleach fighting vid? Boo! A thousand boo's! A pox on them all! A pox, I say!
The problem was that the contest was solely judged by the volume of the audience's applause. They even had a device to measure the sound. However simple that idea may be, it means that the guy who can bellow like a man being eaten by a bear has a certain edge over the rest of us.
In a related note, if I see one more goddamn FF7:Advent Children video, I will burst a blood vessel.
Well, screw it. A brand new video will be out sometime soon. As soon as I beat Persona 3...

    -----------------
By the way, best quote so far this week:

"I prefer titles that are not just the used songīs title >_>
Well itīs the same with movies: "28 weeks later" and not "People run, hide and Zombies finaly eat"."

  • Chapter Three: In which our hero spends too much on Amazon.com. Expensive! 2007-08-31 05:29:53 I would have finished the video this past week, certainly. However, I started playing Persona 3. And I can't stop.
In case you haven't seen it, take a dating sim, cross breed it with an rpg, and then make all the main characters shoot themselves in the head to summon demons. In between studying for exams, of course.
And then there's the first five volumes of Eureka 7 to watch.
Even so, I've sworn on a stack of generic holy things that I'll be putting out a video at the end of next week. Keep an eye out for it.

This weekend I'll be in my first ever amv contest. If I win, I'll be spewing candy and free ops out of my head like a guyser. If not, my tears will flow like a salty sea.
    Wish me luck.
