  • The RVP review... 2002-03-07 23:09:51 Just wanted to plug the latest installment of the Random Variable Productions AMV review. This week's edition focused on some of my older personal favorites and I hope you find the time to check it out. Big thanks goes to the creator for filling out the review section also. Happy reading to you ^_^
  • Sooo sleepy... 2002-03-06 19:46:30 Well, the effects of pulling all nighters seem to be taking it's toll on me. I've been staying up till 4:00am the last 3 nights working on my new vid and it has caused massive yawn attacks at work. I just hope I don't tip over and pass out in the middle of telling some Dell customer, "I have no idea where your technician is, sorry :(..." or some technician, "You really need to be using the IVR to do this sir :(...". Oh well, at least I'll be home in a few hours and can spend another 5 trying to edit my latest piece of crap AMV ^_^ I've shown a low quality beta preview of the first 45 seconds to 2 people so far and the reaction seems to be both disturbed and annoyed at the song choice. Once again, my strange interest in music has become my downfall. I must learn to appreciate modern music a little more...where can I find that hip Linkin Park CD? :p At least the "anime" (not sure if this would even count as an official anime) is original and I'm hoping this video will force Phade to add 'Most Controversial AMV' to next year's VCA list. It will definitely raise some eyebrows and bother the easily offended. On the RVP front, since there was a short turnaround between last week's AMV review and tomorrow plus the org was down for awhile, I'll be focusing on some old favorites in this week's installment, so be sure to check it out ^_^.
  • The site is up!!!... 2002-02-28 00:05:24 Well, after lots of coding and scripting by our buddy Adiamante, we've got the new and improved Random Variable Productions off the ground and I'm very pleased with the results. The site is quick, easy on the eyes and full of great content (IMO). Whether you are looking for AMV's, reviews, funny comic strip antics or just a cool place to hang out, our site is well worth the visit. Come check us out...

  • Hmmm... 2002-02-14 18:00:01 Not much going on really. I've gone a temporary hiatus from making AMV's because I'm getting a new PC (so long Emachine) and I want to make my next project on Premiere (so long Windows Movie Maker). I have several ideas ready to roll once I get all the technical stuff straightened out. They include videos for Berserk, Batman/Superman (non-anime parody stuff), Lain, Sailor and the 7 Ballz, Kenshin, Card Capture Sakura, and some other stuff to be mentioned later. I swear, these ideas are like a curse sometimes. They just pop in my head while listening to the radio and haunt me until I start making them. I'll dream the scenes in my head when I sleep and daydream the fades and beat synchs while walking down the street. IT'S A DAMN CURSE!!! On the studio front, Adiamante seems to have straightened out the website issues we'd been having lately and my Ushicon report should be up soon. The Ushicon video documentary is still being worked on by Machine but he's been having hosting problems with those bastards at Featureprice, so it might take a little while longer to get that up and running. The RVP review section should be back in full force on 02/21 also. I've checked out some great AMV's over the past couple of weeks, so competition should be tight for that spotlight on the site. Keep your eyes open and happy downloading.
