into the X-Box era of my gaming career and I must say I'm not as sorry I bought it as I was originally. So far I've played Knockout Kings (very fun), NFL Fever 2K2 (decent but not Madden), Kabuki Warriors (sucks bigtime), and NBA 2K2 (pretty good but not NBA Live 2002). I'll rent some more games later on before I start buying again but it's been nice to actually invite buddies over the last 2 days and hang out with something to do other than play old Dreamcast games. Also, the DVD experience has been refreshing. Who knew they looked that much better than VHS? =P I've only seen Mezzo Forte (pretty much Kite part 2) so far but am looking forward to buying a few box sets later on. The good thing about the X-box was it doesn't seem to have a Macrovision signal. I tested it out by running the X-box thru the VCR and dubbing the Mezzo Forte DVD onto VHS. It copied without any problem so I might be able to just pick up a capture card instead of getting a DVD drive for my new PC. We'll have to wait and see next weekend when Akon rolls around. Speaking of which, I'm really getting excited to get back into the con enviroment since having such a fun time at Ushicon. It'll also be cool to see Machine again as well as meet my studio compadre Adiamante for the first time. I'm hoping our videos get shown but I'm sure mine will be riding the AMV pine for having such horrid quality. On the AMV front, I haven't done much editing to the 4 or 5 projects I started over the past month but did have a huge moment of inspiration last night while watching some classic American animation. More details to follow... ^_^
Absolutedestiny: I'm estatic you enjoyed my 'Liquid Petals' video! I really thought it came out well when I initially created it but WMM has a way of making decent footage look like crap. Still, I was glad you could see past that and enjoy the editing job I tried to pull off with it. Thanks for the praise. ^_^ -
