I think my "Service With a Smile" video may have won another award at Numareinocon in Louisana (http://www.numareinocon.com) according to their message boards but I haven't gotten an email confirmation from the AMV coordinator yet. I entered because I saw an email to the AMV Yahoo list saying they needed entries and I thought I might be able to go since it's only a few hours away but I couldn't get away from work last weekend. :( Supposedly, it won for Best Rthythm/Upbeat which sounds like the right category. I hope the contest guy is able to mail me whatever comes with the award. =P
On the personal AMV front, I capped about 3 hours of footage for my new horror video but haven't found the time to do any editing as of yet. This one will be a huge blood and gore fest which is something I've always wanted to do after seeing 'Faces of Death' by Machine a long time ago. Should be a nice change of pace from the usual "happy go lucky" stuff I make and fun for me to try something different. =P - >_< 2002-09-09 00:54:18 How the fuck do you lose to a fucking expansion team!!!! I am like in shock right now. I actually won 2 awards at AnimeFest (www.animefest.org) today. This has got to be the biggest fluke in the history of ever. My videos were nowhere being worthy enough to win anything but I somehow got away with it. =P "Service With A Smile" took Best Drama eventhough it's not really a drama vid. I guess they just dug the song or something because I saw better vids that were more appropriate for the category. Julian (Beowulf) was probably robbed the most since his Kenshin video is MUCH better than mine yet he didn't make the top 4. The other category was kind of a gag since it really wasn't an award, more just a Judge's Choice spotlight vid (no plaque given for it). "Happy Fun Time" won the honor eventhough the source footage is horrible and the thing was made with WMM for god's sakes. =P I really had to apoligize to the crowd after that one was announced. The contest was really well handled save for a few tech difficulties (projector bulb burned out, some audio issues at the panel) and I saw some great vids (especially the Best Comedy video which I'd like to have RVP host since it was hilarious). Congrats also to Willem (Wonka) for winning Best Action with his "Soultaker's Mission" video. This whole weekend was indeed good times ^_^....
