Performing in Sydney and Melbourne, its featuing a full orchestra performance of music from games such as Final Fantasy, Chrono Cross, Metal Gear Solid, Kingdom Hearts, Mario, Katamari, Shadow of the Colossus, WoW.. and more..

Backing the orchestra will be a huge video screen, playing memorable footage from the games. With the sucess of having gained help from some of a-m-v.org's best, the MEP is now on the forums, and the creation of the AMVs are underway...

There are still spaces however. If anyone wants to make an AMV, to which the music will be played live by an orchestra and choir, please see the thread in the MEP forums..

  • AMV's for concert finished! 2006-06-27 22:02:43 SAY submissions in, thx to the guys at amvience studios and all other participants.

In total, for A Night In Fantasia 06, there are 19 videos, 10 of them were done by the participants, 9 done by me. All the Ghibli tracks were made, and everybody passed my expectations.

Amvience Studios and I worked on SAY, once again all Ghibli tracks were created.

If anyone in Melbourne or Sydney wants to come and watch the performance, tickets are available online, or at the door. Details at http://www.eminenceonline.com.

So thanks to everyone who participated. I liked all videos, but Koopiskeva and VicBond007's videos stood out from the rest. They covered My Neighbor Totoro and Katamari Damacy respectively...

I have an idea of puting all the clips that were created together, and releasing it on a-m-v.org... But also using the audio / video that will be recorded live at the concert! .. Of course, this is only an idea, and I dont know how it will fly with the higher-ups... Time will tell.
  • First entry ~yay~ (dont expect many of them) 2006-05-23 11:22:53 As of April 2006, I have joined with the Eminence Symphony Orchestra as Production Manager. This orchestra is unlike any other, playing pieces from Anime and Video Games (And a special John Williams concert in June 2005). I am proud to be a part of the talented group and hope to forfill my duties.

One of my roles is to create the AMV's (more like background videos) to the pieces that the orchestra will be playing. This year, there are 28 pieces. Luckily, i have gathered alot of talent (via a-m-v) to help me with the project, including various members from Random Variable studios, Vicbond007, and others (sorry can't remember all your names atm.. writing this off the top of mind)

Of course anyone with sufficient AMV making experience is welcome to join the project. Just go ahead and email at dimix86@gmail.com (only experienced AMVers please) and we'll work something out)

I'd also like to thank Suprnova Australia for voting my 'Nothing Else Matters' AMV as judges favourite.
