Please stop with the bullshits. As AD said it's none of my business but really, are you making videos ONLY to entertain people?
Doesn't make you feel good when you finish a video? When you feel that sense of completeness? When you can watch the thing over and over and everytime fall in love with it?
Well, reading your other journal entries I think the answer is "yes".
Everybody would like to win everytime, be the number 1 AMV creator on the planet or something like that. But in the world, I've learned, no matter what you do there is always someone better than you.
This should convince you to give up?
No.
This is a challenge. If you don't want to take it just because you cannot bear to lose sometimes well, this is another matter.
Maybe you are not the best creator in the world, but if you like to make AMVs I don't see the point in quitting. On the other hand, if you are making them only to "build up a name" then go ahead, you're probably right. If a video doesn't come from the inside, isn't suffered, lived and loved then it will never be worth.
You cannot plan on a desk a video "to be good". You cannot put all the effort in building it as you think "others will like it".
AMVs are a form of art (lesser form, but still art). Art comes from the inside.
I don't want to be harsh at all, but these are just my 2 cents in pal... -

Yeah, today has been a bad day so far. Had a loooong engineering meeting and I was just reporting the status of my project: "now the application has been extended to be able to connect to an smtp server and send out emails through it" and this guy comes up with this 30 years old ibm crap server that doesn't support smtp, so my code won't work.
Geeez, give me a break please. Can I deal with all the crap in the world? Who in the hell has not an smtp compliant server as a mail server nowadays?!?
Then there is this other guy complaining about some sort of "conspiracy" against him because me and another developer "took design choices without informing him". Holy shit, the only thing that I did was to speak with this guy, agree that the current design was crappy and then go DIRECTLY TO TELL HIM!
Well, I think that some shit happens anywhere, so no big deal. I just wanted to rant a little bit, sorry.
The beautiful thing is that I'll have another meeting in half an hour... can you see the smile on my face? Uh?

MUAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! I finally got my inspiration back to start working again on my AMVs!!!

If I continue like this my Reverse Madness remastering will be soon on the shelves out there for you to appreciate it in its full glory :D
I think that the 3 day working I had to make on it when I first released it wasn't really enough... I had to come down to too many compromises. But now I have full time to spend on it and... TADAAAAA!!! I will use also After Effects!! ^_____^
Man... that 40 bucks spent on "Creating motion graphics with After Effects" have been the best deal in a while ;)
I'm off!! - 3000 profile hits!! 2002-04-26 14:28:40 Seemed to me a good reason to celebrate :p
