I'm currently writing a review for Cosmic Donkey's Flash Before Your Eyes vid. It looks like my most in depth review to date.
I read one of UncleMilo's journal entries where he said he was glad that his vid was in the top 10% but that he'd only gotten 4 reviews to date for that same video. It guilted me into writing the review, because I love his video so much that I play it several times a day, but I haven't left an opinion. Bad Ami.
I am now officially the dorm geek. I am the person whom people come to consult when they want to upgrade their PCs. Should I be honoured? Maybe I should start charging for consultation.
NonGEEK: Idiot sibling yarkyarkyark crashed computer yarkyark, graphic card crapped out yarkyarkyark, yarkyark help yark?
AmiGEEK: Hm, I see your problem. I think I know what's wrong... this is quite a complicated matter. It'll cost you a 128 MB RAM chip to fix.
Wahaha.

Kazaa has me locked in download hell with a user who is transferring the 2nd part of the new Seisouhen Kenshin OAV to me at an average of 0.02 kb/s.
It's like being slowly strangled over the course of one week.
I weep with joy when the download speed hits 0.1 kb/s. Hey, you would too, if your ETA read 2000 hours.
Today however, Kazaa connected me with someone from whom I was downloading at a blazing speed of 43 kb/s. All of a sudden I was looking at the possibility of watching the OVA in an hour and a half.
And then he logged off.
So now I’m back at downloading from the previous guy. Well, at least ETA has dropped to about 800 hours.
Sigh.
TreePrincess sent me an image she did to commemorate the GRAND event of the FANTASTIC ACCOMPLISHMENT of 1234 hits for my journal. Huzzah! Everyone cheer! *lone quavering voice in far corner * "...yay..."
Still, here’s the image TreePrincess sent me, and the accompanying email message:

Give the anarchist a cigarette ~ Bob Dylan

Hey AbsoluteDestiny: I just watched that Bob Dylan documentary today! Hah! What a coincidence that you mentioned it in your journal entry too.
For those who don't know, the music video AD was talking about in his journal is a pre-credit sequence from a documentary that's called Don't Look Back. It details Bob Dylan and his anti-press ways while on tour in England. It's shot in black and white, and is one of the very first documentaries that employ the fly-on-the-wall, observational type of documentary filmmaking. It broke out of the conventional aesthetics of traditional cinema and made a style out of the whole jostling, off-focus, swish-pan kind of filmmaking.
Don't Look Back is also known for that classic scene where the camera follows Dylan all the way from his dressing room, jostles down the corrdior, swerves round corners and finally ends up on stage with him. The scene was parodied in This Is Spinal Tap, where the band goes off in search for the stage but ends up in the boiler room. I've seen it done in an Australian mobile telephone ad too. :)
Gah, sounds like I'm giving a freaking lecture.
Anyway, it was a really cool documentary, and the music video sequence is CLASSIC. It's a one-shot single take of Dylan standing on the far right of the screen with a look of absolute boredom on his face, holding up and dropping cue-cards scrawled with fragments of the lyrics to "Subterranean Homesick Blues", as the song plays. And it's in black and white. Coolness.

"No. We all just blinked at the same time."
