Speaking of manga's, I'm writing my own and hope to submit it to a contest on of these days. Tokyo Pop has that annual contest where the best manga gets published. My storyline is probably the most unique, it's really the art that's the issue. I draw well no doubt, and I get the facial expressions down pat. But when it comes to action, I could use a little work. I'm not done with the first one, but I will submit the pages one by one on me art page.
The manga (if published) would be one of the first mainly Christian mangas out there. It has other gods in it, but it focuses on the one and only Yahweh God. Yay. It's more serious than the usual manga as well. But it's a dramedy (drama and comedy mixed together)

The storyline is that Yahweh God had become human because Yahweh was betrayed by the other gods. And Jehovah had to go and find the human form. The weird part is...Yahweh is a girl! I'm not kidding. And when Yahweh was betrayed, they took away her powers, memories, and divinity.
Now she has to work hard to get it all back...all while trying to pass college and find love. Love makes her stronger and that's why she has to find people who can love her in anyway. Because the stronger she gets....the more she becomes god again.
And randomness insues when the other gods begin to know of her presence! But the drama is...she was abused and neglected when she was younger because that would opress her. This was because of her sister Dark Yahweh (they have the same name, but she's like an evil version of Yahweh) wanted to rule the universe. So she has to deal with that as well!
Dramedy is the best way I can describe this. But it has no offensive material in it (if you don't count the cursing) This was done in the utmost respect for Yahweh God, but it is the manga that anyone can enjoy no matter what your religion is. I have a habit of mixing in the ideas of many religions into one anyways. But anyway, it will be on my artpage when I'm finished. But I only made one book so far and I'm not quite finished with it. But please feel free to browse the rest of my art while I'm finishing it up.

My manga is called Yahweh! the Divine Manga. I hope it will be an anime one day. Look for it when I'm done! I'll make a journal when I'm done and it's posted. Note that this will be done mostly by hand.
