I'm not reading the original, I'm certainly not reading the 'retweet' care to highlight the parts of relevance? the thing would seriously take me like 2 hours to read (and think about). Anyway I'm sticking with what I got. Either that or she's just a horrible essayist >.<.

TL;DR (Too Long; Didn't Read :| which was sort of the point of most of it huh?? lol... at least the part that I DID read).
Chat is bad :/ chat is wrong. I can see where Phade comes from there (though I never saw it explicitly as Phade vs. chat... though I wouldn't be against the old 'journal chatting' argument just because Phade was against it as you say you were :)). Traditionalists (who all tend to be no fun dorks and republicans) don't like chat cuz chatting is a waste of time. Just letting your mouth go free and jabber jabber jabber, you should be doing something productive with your time, and WE SHOULD! While some ppl may have multitasking in their blood SOME of us just can't do it! I can't do ANYTHING while my ears are in Skype. Cept maybe eat.
So anyway, not just in this site, but over ALL lots of ppl just hate chat. And, boy, Phade has painted a rather boorish picture of himself lately with his 3 years of boochsack pride and rage against chat hasn't he?? lol. Well anyway the dictator that we MAY be under I really don't like chat either ^_^ but like you said it IS a necessity! I will admit, the current donator forums is better than nothing. It's no 'OT forums' but I kinda' like them! You should give it a try!
So back on topic :/ *notes Vax' announcement of leaving* as was said, 2003-2004 was EASILY the org's most FLOURISHING years! Easily! During the years of the OT Chat. Chatting and prosperity tend to go hand in hand, your right! And you hit the button in that too! But chatting IS bad! It's like porn is to r/l, chat is to the internet. Look at every prosperous city and you'll find a bustling red light district. Some times many!! Police understand this and just ignore many aspects of crime (like pirating :P) because it brings on creativity! In a perfect world, yes, chatting and art would go hand in hand. It IS a necessary evil IMO BUT that doesn't change the fact!Chatting IS EVIL! It's a waste of time and just encourages laziness, promiscuity and generally BAD things, like attention mongerers and pedo's propositioning on the preteens that generally like this stuff. Try as we might, chat canNOT be simply kept to just a 'hi' and 'have a nice day, any questions I'll be glad to help you!'. Individually yes, but as a whole, it never works. It's like a red light district/ black market, you either have it and ignore it or you don't. Perhaps that means less creativity ~~ pretty much a death knell to a site based on artistry, but. I can agree with just not wanting too see/ deal with any of it. You can't just allow some. -

glad you liked it Ayane :) but I was just showin that Autotune was the big thing out now... but you probly already knew that :o: anyway.
Code! like I said, you better make sure everything works on there before you do it. cuz without flash functionality you can't even log onto the org :o. I don't know if flash works on the ipod touch, and even so I've not been able to preview amvs (much less download them are you crazy??). But if all you want is to check your updates on facebook (may not be able to see all of them without flash) then your good. The org won't cooperate with my old phone (probly a WM5 derivative) though. The forums work just fine! ya gotta use some creative navigating but they're good.
Just saying not sure if you'd want to replace a laptop with one... -

and finally fo Code, don't know about these other things But I got AT&T's rebranded HTC Touch 2 Windows Mobile device and like all WM6 devices it can't do Flash stock. But I got mine to do flash. If your satisfied with mediocrity than you can use the mobile versions of youtube (m.youtube.com I think it is) but that doesn't let you watch things like .org's streams or crunchyroll. What I did was download a browser that does flash. Skyfire. With it I can even play the flash games on facebook :) which is a godsend cuz that's well... WAY too much of my life :x lol.
Still I can't figure out how to fullscreen but that's allright. Cuz the HTC Touch2 has a screen res of a whopping 640x480! It's seriously practically a netbook.
