So the whole reason I stepped back to DDR2 when buying my computer was so I could save a bit (bunch actually) of power by going with Nvidia's hybridpower solution. See that meant I had to go AM2+ for my Phenom (couldn't afford an i7 at the time and i5 wasn't out yet. Core mobos were too expensive too) and use the slower DDR2. Well now that I'm finally ready for the thing, it turns out Nvidia dumped it :( gaddamn it. I woulda' had a better (Sideport) video system too :/ thanks Nvidiat.
Their reason was their current offerings basically outweigh it's advantages anyway :o and yes, that one IS true. Reading up on the GT240 it's a VERY impressive card for the minimalists among us. BUT that DOESN'T change the fact that I WASTED however many months on an inferior system, not to mention to upgrade I'll have to buy new RAM :(. Waiting on an appropriate am3 implementation.
Should I buy a 790fx mobo or get a gt240 and just wait?? :| - 0101010 2010-01-01 17:00:38 January 1st 2010. Just thought I'd say Hello :D
