lol *crazy laugh* I've managed to render ANOTHER computer last night :o (in the midst of keeping Bethy up -_-). My sloooooow computer. Something was wrong with the hdd, it wasn't formating. So I SHOULD HAVE known, if I killed the partition, I wouldn't be able to format it again to set a new one up!! I should have known that!! But I've never been one NOT to tempt fate... and fate usually wins. Go figure.
So now I have one broken motherboard (bios) and one broken HDD! I'm contemplating even fixing the HDD one cuz it's so slow... but... I probly should :o old ide hdds aren't too hard to find still (since everything else has gone on to sata) I got my sights set on one from newegg ;p. But again! am I gonna waste another 100 bucks on that?? *sigh* I could also just put the old mb in the slow case and go from there... but. hm... regardless I think I'll be not posting for about a week. I'll be able to respond to pms and check the journals though... farewell :o for now lol -

sorry, Bethy... if you were refering to me. I was watching football all day (of coarse... EVERYBODY was watching football all day <.<) and didn't want to get up. Cuz I .... I... I I can't believe I did this. So that computer I was putting together? I was updating the bios, cuz, you know... it's just not fast enough for me. And updating the Bios is good stuff ;p. Cept when you don't give it time to finish. GAH!! NO!!! GADANGIT!!! Now I got myself a perfectly good computer... with a hosed bios in it. Wich means more money out of my pocket. Stupid greed.
Anyway I was going through my options. I could buy a new bios, or buy a new mobo. I might as well buy a new mobo as it's a cheapo and wouldn't be worth fixing. But you know what?? Seems like I should buy the exact same one!! Trust me I thought long and hard on this one. I have an atx and mini-atx case so I even considered bigger atx boards but no. I have both the chip I'm using and even an old celeron d I could use, so I even considered selling this chip (A64x2 4000) and going with an m/atx 775 mobo! No, don't have ddr2, I DO have a pci-x card wich is why it crossed my mind.
Well, no again. see the thing about this mobo is it could use both the integrated ATI Xpress 200 gfx chip and the PCIx card at the same time!! At least it's supposed to. And I happen to have 2 monitors here (yeah, I have alot of spare parts... both widescreen big lcds!) so I REALLY wanna try that. It's not just dual monitors running off of 1 card, the pcix card is running all on it's own so that should be SO usefull. GOD I wish I thought of this when I had some money... (and that old mobo was just sitting there since 2003!! Had I known it was SO usefull...) I mean I could max out the discreet pcix card (a ddr4 hd2600xt I got for less than 100 bucks!) watching an hd-dvd or something while reading journals on the integrated. I'd like to see anybody else do that on an hd2600/ 4000+ x2. It's gonna take alot to rip this computer out of my hands. -

You know, I'm actually suprised it works!! No, I'm not on that computer, I hadn't set windows up yet (it's formating), but everything (old mobo, cpu, ram, old -DEATHSTAR- HDD, DVD drive, vid card/ monitor) seems to be working!! Amazing.
No, really. With the torture I put these (especially the old) components through... I hadn't even used the old parts in months, even years. The deathstar is my favorite peice -_- It's called deathstar cuz only like 30% of them survived. Mine is 4 years old. No, it quite possibly could be 5 or 6, wich is OLD for a HD.
Anyway I'm stoked ;p. Gotta sleep though, puttin' this together was NOT an easy task. -

no more lazy bug!! .... no computer yet though... I gotta wait for my brother to come home with the chord that I need. *sigh* it's looking like my cleanest custom job ever though :D kinda' had to be, it's in a small form factor case though lol.
Happy Bday, Omega! I liked the leval up line... was gonna type something this morning but I also wanted to get to whatever Bethy was getting to. Only 5 hours now bumblebee ;p. For.... Idunno, whatever ^_^ -

I just came back in from outside and it's like 40 degrees out there at 1 o'clock... *sigh* I want it to be colder. No really, I'd trade you in a heartbeat (actually I'd switch places with Gina- she'd kill me if I didn't- so you'd have to deal with the cold... lol) cuz to do what I want to do it's gotta be cold. Funny thing is, earlier it was like 10 degrees and I was just down the street! Gotta love Oregon weather.
oh and you don't wanna make fun of Mandi's spelling... you won't like how that ends lol. Randomness- I just got done watching Project A-ko and your telling me about Randomness....
